Other than that, I don't care much for the graphics. I care more about the story and the gameplay anyway.

Bioware has worked hard to provide a new art style and graphics. Please at least try to appreciate that.
It makes me chuckle when people say they don't care for graphics. That's just stupid. Its a visual game, of course the graphics are important!

I’m not worried about the graphics so much as the presentation and style. Its little things that appeal to the teenage demographic, like comically oversized weapons, hawk’s one-handed gauntlet look, and all the unneccessary flipping around. I'll reserve my judgement for the demo though.

Tbh people care about graphics. It only takes Bioware to make a game with really bad graphics to prove that, which probably won't happen for exactly that reason. The graphics are ok though and in an RPG graphics ARE secondary to story.

I only care about RPG aspect of the game, graphics mean very little to me. But I'm a type of person who is playng Planetscape Torment at the moment, again after many years, and is enjoying every minut of it- like the first time.

Perhaps this is the wrong genre for you?

Btw, I can help but notice you picked the most unsightly screenshot of all- others just look beautiful - to me

Sad only if the graphics is the only thing they have judged on, I judge a game by combination of things gfx being one of them since a good looking game brings feel good feelings to the pleasure centers in my head!! I never condemn a game by screenshot alone as it tells next to nothing about the game. Lets face it in this era of gaming thier is no excuse for lack luster gfx! also put 2 similar games of excellent content 1 with superb gfx 1 with below average gfx and you can only buy one, Which do you think would sell the most..
 
Bugs me that we as a people love to stick labels on things i.e graphics are secondary!! umm no graphics are just as important as anything else, a game like a film can be destroyed with bad visuals we live in an age where multiple elements combined are what makes an excellent product and one inferior element can cause problems.

Good thing for me DA2 graphics are not lack lustre, shoddy, horrible, nasty, below average, now to see how demo/game plays out before the real judgment day happens
