Indeed I quite agree...because I am able to immerse myself in any game...regardless of the grahpics. If DA2 looked like an Atari 2600 game I would still enjoy it...because grahpics don't mean s*** to me in the slightest.

I'm sure you would, but not as much as you do now. You are deluding yourself if you believe graphics have absolutely no effect on enjoyment. If this was the case, graphics would not advance.

ANd your quite deluded if you actually think grahpics are that important...because Crisis was that OMG SEXY game...and guess what?...I thought that game sucked horribly. Grahpics do not do anything for me at all...and your deluded if you think everyone cares about them.

Guess what, your opinion isn't the only valid one. Graphics contribute positively to a game or developers wouldn't bother improving and marketing it. Crysis was a best seller, regardless of what you thought of it. Why you are against graphical advancement is beyond me. You remind me of those people that just have to argue for the sake of arguing. I'm done with you, don't bother replying.

HUZZA!!! "Lets all base an opinion from a single screenshot." Said the person who obviously played through the game. You're an idiot. Go crawl back into your basement and have mommy send you hot pockets through the dumb waiter.

I always get a good laugh when people call the BLIGHT LANDS dull and ugly. Should they be pretty with blue jays and cardinals chirping happily, green grass as far as the eye can see, clean air and rainbows off in the distance? Perhaps we can change the Darkspawn to magical gnomes whose swords are made of cotton candy.

We get it, the Witcher has nice graphics. Please, for the love of all that is holy, go play it.Posted Image

Trolling would of been posting a pic of The Witcher 2 just for the lul.  :wizard:

What's up in this here house?

Where are these screens from? Never seen these before. Damn my Triss looking sexy there. Anyway graphics don't make a good game. However they can add to atmosphere. It does seem like DA2 still lacks in graphics department though we have not seen DX10 or DX11 yet. It will not affect my enjoyment of the game.

I think they are from "Witcher 2".

I think also I will buy Witcher 1 (if such game exists) after brief DA2 playthourgh!

One of the games I've enjoyed most in recent years is Vampire the Masquerade:Bloodlines (I was a latecomer). My face was square and blocky, I couldn't run properly, the environment had very little definition, and the creeping animation made me laugh out loud. Still a great game. Graphics may not be inconsequential, but a well-presented story, good characters, decent dialogue, and some well thought out fights can matter more than some visual flaws.

If I had to choose where Bioware spends most of its zots, it wouldn't be to make the game look Crysis standard or anything, especially if it then ended up losing out in some areas I consider more important. As for the Witcher - yes, it looks lovely, as did the first one for its time. But then it lacks all sorts of (non graphical) things that DA2 has, and that Origins had. Such as a party of characters to control and all the banter and interaction that goes along with that, character generation choices, a lot of choice when it comes to kitting yourself out. As I recall, there was quite a limited selection of things for Geralt to wear and use as weapons. I guess different companies decide where they want to spend their budget. Overall, I'm happy with the way Bioware spends theirs.

Will do right after Dragon Age II. Then I'll head on over to Skyrim. It's a good year to be liking RPGs.

Yeah, so much respect to those, whose opinion is different than yours.
After reading this comment, I think that you are the one who's an idiot and suggest you crawling back into your basement.

2 questions...
1st : What are these hot pockets you mention?
2nd ; If said hot pockets are any good can i also ask his mum to send me some too?
:devil::devil::devil::devil::devil:

Other than that i really like the graphics and graphic style that we have seen so far for DA 2. I have to also say that The Witcher 2 is looking exquisite and i am looking forward to that too.

this as well, except i'll substitute witcher 2 for Deus ex 3

i don't like the witcher series. good games to be sure but not my cup of tea. that... and that i'm sick of hearing about it but that's beside the point.

Does the Witcher 2 has toolset?

Because I'm more into mods and creating my own personal story. Graphics is a bonus but it's meaningless if I get bored after 3 to 5 play through because I can't mod it. ( The same reason apply to Mass effect 2 too )

Limited?? Please you call 2 leather jackets ( with the second one being almost the same except a few spikes here and there and an extra potion slot limited??? ). There was also 1 armour in the game and that was at the last chapter for crying out loud. At least it changed styles depending on your faction status........
That is preposterous good sir or madam....

I believe that the dev's of CD Projekt Red have said that a toolset will be released and that the game itself will be mod friendly :o

Also, come on, graphics do matter in some extent. For example, Game 1 and Game 2 both have great storylines, interesting characters and gameplay, but the Game 2's graphics are much better than it's competitor. So, I assume that most people will mostly likely buy the Game 2 because, while having the same great storyline. it also packs some nice graphics.

So, when so many good RPGs are coming out this year (because of this, the competition is quite high) I don't get why Bioware decided to have so retarded graphics and tell that it's some sort of special artstyle (I'm not following the DA2 info very attentively, but I do remember some interview where an employee said exactly that)

Exactly, the people here trying to say graphics don't matter at all are deluded full stop. One guy says he wouldn't mind if DA2 was 2D and had Atari graphics. Talk about self denial.

Graphic w***** are some of the most annoying type of gamers. You can never please them. Yes DA2's graphics are not on par with the Witcher 2, or Skyrim. If that is all you care about and can't enjoy a game without amazing graphics you are shallow. For a game to be good to me it has to have a good balance of gameplay, story, and to some extent graphics. I think DA2 has all of those things so I'm sure I will enjoy this game immensely and so will many others despite the "horrible" graphics.

I’m not worried about the graphics so much as the presentation and style. Its little things that appeal to the teenage demographic, like comically oversized weapons, hawk’s one-handed gauntlet look, and all the unneccessary flipping around. I'll reserve my judgement for the demo though.

I agree.
