That's not 100% accurate, you can level perfectly fine without ever buying crown items.

Really? they want money for one of these flash games now? Also! I seriously thought that this was meant to be coming out before dragon age 2... DA2 comes out in 5 days (in aussieland) and this game is still in BETA!?! beta!?! really? Beeeeyond a joek! I want the items, but I didn't think I'd have to mess around trying to get a beta key to unlock them, I just assumed it would be finished before DA2 came out

Lets say, you can use the Legends items only after level 15. What's the disadvantage? ^^ Or is it better, if you could play Legends now, but with major errors?

You can level just fine without spending real money on crowns. I never seem to get pass level 8 before they do a character wipe though. Not sure how things are beyond that. It's a part of the fine tuning process I know, but you get tired of starting over.
Once I have the unlocks I don't plan to ever play Legends again. I left all other Facebook games a long time ago and rather not get reattached to any. If the crowns do become important at some point, I'll stop playing completely unlocks or no. I won't waste my money on it.

fair point proviant although I do like having all the items available at once, just the way they marketed this is that it was meant to come out before DA2 no real loss I imagine!

there's really nothing apart from the branding and name that sets this apart from 90% of other facebook fantasy games.

Hey sorry if this had been asked, but how do you unlock the free items? I've been playing for a while and I haven't got any notifications or anything.

Wow.
Dragon Age Legends is very disappointing compared to Dragon Age Journeys.
The entire "Crown" ecosystem seems like a shameless slap in the face at it's current pricing.
You'd think that for spending $100 to cheat in a Facebook game, it would be enough to buy almost anything in the game... but when you start looking at how much it costs to convert Crowns to gold, how much it costs to just buy potions or reduce cooldown timers... bleh.
Congrats guys, DA:L has convinced me not to buy Dragon Age 2 if this is the direction you are going in

DA:L has no impact on DA2, however, DAL is pretty much taking a route for the .. meh.
I loved it-- before this patch. Then they changed up the class mechanics, XP, and now it's terrible.
Personally, 'm not going to play until changes are made.

It appears that the comments here are not from DAL players; at least in the majority. Those that are on Facebook and playing, as I am, really like this over, say, Farmville, which I never saw the point to. I like the turn by turn strategy decisions that you have to make in Legends. It's not a hack and slash, so if that's what you like, then you won't like DAL. I've gained friends literally from all over the world just by playing the beta; first the closed beta, and now the open one (which you can add players without a beta key with a friend invite.)
When I want something more intensive, I go to my PS3 and play DA II. And I like that one is limited by the energy system to only playing for about 30 minutes at a time so I don't sit in front of my computer all day waiting for the next round. Once or twice a day to check in and play is fine with me.

If anyone likes it just to spend a few minutes, just for fun.
Add me on facebook, but first send me a message saying dragon age legends and i will add you as friend.
My facebook name is Attila Krieger, search it, you cant miss it (black and white profile photo, long hair)
I would never pay to play flash games
But that doesnt prevent me from having a little fun with it(thought its still very basic)
Cheers
