I have just finished the Feros mission and i have to get back to Zhu's Hope and talk to Lizbeth's mother but my MAKO was destroyed on the way in to the exogeni, so what i want to know is, will i have the firepower to make it out of Fero without the MAKO?

How did your mako die without you in it?

If it is flaming, one thing you can try (save first) is to wait until you are out of combat and get back in and fix it. You can also make a save and reload to fix the mako.

There is no reason you can't just walk out however, might be a little harder, but it can be done.  It will be easier if you've got either good biotics or some tech skills.

I jammed the Mako underneath some terrain on Feros a while back and ended up walking all of the way to the ExoGeni offices and back. Nothing changes, it just takes longer.

For xp reasons, I did a no-kill in mako playthrough once as a soldier. This can be done, though having immunity can't hurt. When up against an armature/colossus, just stay mobile and they can't hit you.  Killing them outside of the mako can actually be faster with a pistol or assault rifle and tungsten rounds, though I'm sure other combos work just as fine.

This has happened to me (Mako all flaming out so I jumped out). You should be able to jump back in and Omni-Gel it to get it working again.
