I don't get why Silver Account holders didn't expect this to happen with the Dragon Age 2 demo. Silver accounts always receive demos 1 week later for every demo. I was planning on downloading it for PC first but since it will be available for 360 first then I'll download that instead. I guess I'll put it to download and go to sleep since 2gb will take forever with all the people downloading it.

I am in the same boat you are in. I did not see this "little issue" earlier myself. If I were you, I wouldn't waste the money for a 45 min demo. I can think of better things to spend $50 on.

There is a chance I won't bother with the demo now. I haven't quite decided yet. It's not like one person will make a difference in their quest for 1 million. I am sorely disappointed though for sure.

Or even $10 for a month. It's just Microsoft's way of squeezing more money out of us. It's just a matter of principle

I have never bothered with downloading a demo before, so that is why I didn't know. Not sure about everyone else. I have no reason to buy a gold membership because I am not into the online multiplayer thing...it just seems like a waste to buy it and not use it.

I think you can still do this. You can try it yourself to see:

Create another account with a different email address, go through the process of signing up, and when it says if you want to be a gold member, say no, and it should automatically give you 1 month free gold to try.

Will Hayden's Razor be able to download cross platform? I mean if I finish the demo on PC can I have the item on xbox?

I can't tell much of a difference outside of the lighting being improved, but I do get a 33% decrease in FPS from DX9 to DX11.

Hmm, DX9 looks better than DX11 in my opinion, which probably means that choosing DX11 in the demo causes incorrect rendering because DX11 is disabled.

The differences between DX9 and DX10 on some games don't seem that much better to me as it is.  From what I saw in those screenshots, DX11 didn't show much better than DX9 either.  Once the true DX11 images come out then it will differently be worth a look.

Haydens razor is only unlocked on PC/Mac . I completed the German demo on Windows PC, but anticipate the English release will be the same.

Edit: In other words it unlocks like this PC/Mac = PC/Mac. Xbox 360 = Xbox 360. PS3 = PS3.

Of course it might not be the same for the English release, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be this way considering the German demo is this way.

I was crying "Xbox Live Silver account tears" until last week but then I made a new account and got Gold for a month. It's good enough to download the demo tonight at midnight! I was tempted to pay $10 but yeah no....Microsoft stop sucking money out of me~

or you could make a new account to download it? You get a months free gold subscription

Same.  A silver account works for me because all I want out of an online feature is access to DLC and updates.  I'm not into multi-player at all, so a gold account would be wasted on me.  Plus, DA:2 is the first demo I've ever been willing to download, so I had no idea that silver accounts recieved demo's a week later.

Fortunately, my brother has a gold membership, so I'll just ask him if I can borrow his profile tomorrow and when the demo is finally available for silver, I'll just play it again for the goodies.
