There is currently no planned date for the demo removal - you will be able to d/l and play even after DA2 is released.

The 1M goal however needs to be reached by 1 Mar, for us to unlock those associated reward items.

They've given the demo to the Microsoft/Sony people and they'll upload it themselves. BioWare has to upload and release the PC version themselves and I'm guessing they don't want to come to work at midnight to do it.

Every time BioWare has used an automated process, something has gone wrong and someone had to fix it.

I'I have an irrational fear that there's going to be a server overload or something when I go to download and I'll have to wait 6 extra hours to actually get the demo.
