Honestly, I'm really psyched for the game. I've already pre-ordered the Signature Edition from GameStop, and I have it already paid off, just have to go to the store and pick it up.

yeah i went through and played origins over again but i havent ever bought any of the DLC cause when i first got the game there was none lol, havent even played awakening. i was going to buy em all but i figured since dragon age 2 is coming out in like 2 weeks then it would just be a big waste of money

1. I have 30 microsoft points

Your character itself isn't imported, but the world your character has left behind is, meaning all of the major decisions you made towards the end will be imported, as well as some of the decisions made in the later DLCs, like Awakening and Witch Hunt.

In my opinion, the DLCs are worth it, because from what I hear, for not importing, you ahve to choose between 3 endings. Here are the three:

• "Hero of Ferelden" (Default): Ended Fifth Blight by
  killing Archdemon and survived. Placed Alistair on the throne.

• "The Martyr": Young Dalish Elf who died to kill the
  Archdemon. She left the kingdom ruled by Alistair and Anora.

• "No Compromise": Dwarven noble took command of Grey
  Wardens. Exiled Alistair, sent Loghain to his death against Archdemon,
  and left Anora as Ferelden’s ruler.

So, in my opinion, I'd rather have the DLCs and whatnot to have my decisions I made myself to be done, not the game's. However, if it'll be hard on you financially (just being kind here) then it's up to you.

Also DAO ultimate edition with the original game, awakening and ALL DLC can be had for around $35 or even cheaper if you shop around.  Just rebuy the ultimate edition and give/tradein/use as a coaster your original copy.

I've been wearing Morrigan's outfit with the Darkspawn staff for a few weeks now. Totally changing her outfit to Hawke's mage robes after tonight. Gotta stay up to date, right?!
*so didn't buy the robes ahead of time to prepare for this.... cough*

As soon as I saw the Cailan Armor and the Griffon avatar prop, I couldn't stop myself from buying it. Now, I'm a tan tall man in a golden suit of armor with a brown griffon that pops up every 15 seconds, bellows at me, I pat it on the head, it flies up over my shoulder, then disappears.

Oh me neither I bought every DLC when it came out and I regret nothing.  It's just buying the Ultimate Edition is a better economic buy at this time if nothing else was bought.

Oh me neither I bought every DLC when it came out and I regret nothing.  It's just buying the Ultimate Edition is a better economic buy at this time if nothing else was bought.

I completely agree. Hell, even though I KNOW that Bioware will probably do the same for DA2 with the dlcs they eventually come out with for it, I'll still buy them as they come, whenever I get the funds. Same goes for ME2 and ME3 (assuming ME3 gets dlcs and NG+'s).
