hmmm so maybe i should pick up some of the dlc, maybe just witch hunt or awakening, idk either that or ill just hold out until DA2 and just create a new hero without importing anything, cause i dont feel like spending 50-70$ on all of the DLC just for it not to be used lol maybe if DA2 was coming out next year then yeah haha but not 2weeks. what u think i should do?

Beware the evil quote pyramids! :D

Also DAO ultimate edition with the original game, awakening and ALL DLC can be had for around $35 or even cheaper if you shope around.  Just rebuy the ultimate edition and given/tradein/use as a coaster your original copu

Notice: Is certainly more economical than me buying all of the DLCs individually. I regret nothing, however.

Oh me neither I bought every DLC when it came out and I regret nothing.  It's just buying the Ultimate Edition is a better economic buy at this time if nothing else was bought.

maybe ill do that then, cause i just have the original copy, i can trade it in and get the ultimate edition and that comes with every piece of DLC there is? that would DEFFinetly save me some money lol, now it would just be the time factor of having to beat everything over again with the DLC and awaking haha, now which dlc is included into the main story game? everything besides awakening, witch hunt, and leliana's song i pressume or anything else?

I completely agree. Hell, even though I KNOW that Bioware will probably do the same for DA2 with the dlcs they eventually come out with for it, I'll still buy them as they come, whenever I get the funds. Same goes for ME2 and ME3 (assuming ME3 gets dlcs and NG+'s).

I've already put aside one credit card that I will not use not matter what to fund my DLC purchases. :D

Only Warden's Keep, the DLC that has Shale in it and Return to Ostagar are in the campaing. However, as a human, when you get to Awakening, I suggest deleting the Warden's Keep DLC if you want to wear the Sentinel Armor, since it screws with the textures for it, making it look like the Warden Commander's Armor set.

Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song, Golems and Witch hunt are the out-of-game DLC.

I would love to as well, except I have two issues with that:

1. I have 30 microsoft points
2. I couldn't possibly give up my Cailan's Armor set, combined with my pet Griffon.

I've been using the Dead Space armor for a long time now, but Flemeth's armor is looking pretty cool as a potential replacement.

*snip*

I totally broke down and got Hawke's mage robes. Curse you short attention span/stylish avatar outfits! *shakes fist*

I've been wearing Morrigan's outfit with the Darkspawn staff for a few weeks now. Totally changing her outfit to Hawke's mage robes after tonight. Gotta stay up to date, right?!
*so didn't buy the robes ahead of time to prepare for this.... cough*

Ha! No need to be ashamed. Here, we embrace all fans! And of course, being up to date is a necessity. ;)

As soon as I saw the Cailan Armor and the Griffon avatar prop, I couldn't stop myself from buying it. Now, I'm a tan tall man in a golden suit of armor with a brown griffon that pops up every 15 seconds, bellows at me, I pat it on the head, it flies up over my shoulder, then disappears.

Hey, there are worse things than being a tan, tall man in a golden suit with a griffon pet. :P

I'd gladly get the warrior armor or soemthing, but seeing as I allow nobody to see my avatar's eyes, he'll be wearing black shades with his armor. B)

so i just looked up the ultimate edition at gamestop and its selling for 49.99 new and 44.99 used, it seems to include all of the DLC in the game except for witch hunt, but i can spend the extra 5$ for that one >.< so does everyone agree that i should trade in original copy and get that edition to fully experience everything in the game before DA 2 comes out? i also see that in that edition that awakening comes on a seperate disc? meaning every time i wanna switch between them i have to pop in a different game basically?

puma8967 - Yes. You should. Totally worth it. And you just use the Awakening disc after that is installed. Even for new plays in Origins.

Dragon Age Ultimate Edition comes with absolutely everything, including Witch Hunt. I just finished going through the whole thing.

Be aware though, with the exception of DA: Origins, everything else gets installed to your Xbox360/PS3. Make sure you have about 6 GB available on your Hard Drive.

I would recommened it if you truly enjoyed DAO and want more to play.  You have to go in with realistic expectations about the DLC and you'll be a lot happier with what you get.  Personally I loved Awakenings but it's way shorter compared to DAO and you don't get to know your companions as much because of it.  I also immensely enjoyed Leliana's Song and Witch Hunt. The other's were so-so.  But in the end I want all my wardens choices to carry forward.

Bottom line I say yes, but you know yourself best.  You can find it for $40 brand new and shipped to you on ebay FYI if it's an option for you.

No character creation screen? Way to make the demo appealing.

I totally would've gotten the warrior armor (it's my favorite class, after all!) but I didn't like tha mini-helm thing that comes on the female version, at least.

Yeah, but then again that would add extra weight to an already heavy download. Why bother investing that kind of time into creation when it is a 45 minute demo?

so basically u just  pop in the awakening disc 1 time to install everything and after that you just play the regular game with the original disc? or other way around?

I wonder if Dragon Age 2 will ruin my impression of Dragon Age. I really enjoyed the combat in the first game and how that game seemed to maintain the roots of the genre. Now it is all supposed to be more about action and twitch. I don't know. The demo will be the deciding factor for me.

Under 10 minutes to potential release for the dirty console playing peasants!  :P

And while the combat is mucho faster it's not hack n slash or twitchy. How do I know ? Well lets just say Die Demo hat Spaß gemacht, aber schwer zu verstehen.

Also, be prepared for a lot of OP characters in Awakening (your characters). My Dual-wield Warrior was able to kill off the Varterral by himself (more or less) on Nightmare. And yet, the Harvester destroyed me. Had to lower it to Hard to get the achievement. Still, a lot of fun.
