The way I did it was signing out of my current Xbox account, which was Silver and when you log out (you have to be connected to the internet on your Xbox), you can create a new account. Use another e-mail address that's not the same you had before and follow the instructions. Then it's going to ask you if you want to "go gold" or "upgrade later". Choose "upgrade later" and it will take you to a screen that says you have a 1-month free Gold membership. Press next and then you create your avatar and you're done. 1-month free Gold.

I don't know if its the same with the old Xbox but I have the new black Xbox, so it might be slightly different. I'm pretty sure you can also create your account online and then login with that info on your Xbox.

Just to clarify. 48 hours of Gold trials WON'T allow you to download the demo early. Tried that a while ago. BUT let's hope that someone uploads the demo via PC. You can then download it and burn it onto a DVD which can be played with an unmodified XBox360.

I'm glad there is a demo. I can finally figure out if I want to play as a rogue or a mage before the game is launched.

Yes I know MS has a set schedule for releasing...no I really don't care. PC users should be able to download it at the same time...not 9 hours later.



oh and before the fanboys jump on me...I have an xbox 360. I just don't use it to play DA.

Yeah, and they never let us forget it, but since developers stick mostly to using DirectX and not use open source the choices are rather limited wouldn't you say?

some american demos only work on 60hz tv and on 50hz tvs the image is in black and white.

You can't make it on the PC and then get the free month later by signing in with it on the 360. You have to make a new account on the Xbox 360 because they track how many times you get the free 1 month per 360. You can only get it 3 times per 360. Microsoft doesn't want you to keep making new accounts and keep getting free 1 month trials.

I'm one of ze English, So stop whining...I won't be able to start the download until 9am (I'll still be in bed) Then I'm going to be out until 3pm, then I have to wait for my slow ass internet to download 2GB...

I certainly don't think I'm entitled or anything.

I just want Chris Priestly, David Gaider, and Mike Laidlaw at my house at 12:01 am on 2/22.

I want Chris to DL the game for me, Mike to explain the differences in all the skills to me, and David to tell me everything about all the characters while I play.

Is that really asking too much here?

So pc users get it 7 to 9 hours later?, I don't get it, if the demo is available for release by microsoft time why is it not available at the same time for pc?, this is a genuine question not a moan, several hours is no biggy to me, 4 days on the other hand.......
