Evenin' all!
I wasn't going to post this, but after some debate I seem to have hit a few walls and so request the help of fellow wardens.
Recently I've completed my first run on Dragon Age with my main Mage character (yay for being the tradiontal mage in robes! XD) and working on the DLC's (being Awakening then golems then witch hunt I believe) but while I'm doing that as my mage is pretty much sorted, I wanted to start planning my hard/nightmare run on Origins
Quickie question, don't suppose theirs any achivements for nightmare runs on Origins? Such as complete the game on nightmare? If so I may skip the hard one and go straight for Nightmare to get those achivements and then go back a difficulty level to get the others.
So I plan on creating a female Human sword and shield character (I considered Dwarves, but they just seem too short and I play dragon age like an interactive RP XD) but the snag I had was the following:
Looking at some gameplays of the Arcane Warrior at work it saeems like a class to consider playing for sword and shield.
But I had also considered playing as a basic warrior with the Templar Spec and poissibly Champion as a 2nd.
But which is the more "offensive" orintated? As in higher damage output. I'm not really a tank type of person (I can never tank anything on any game...i suck at it) and would prefer to have a high damage output for the higher difficulty play-thoughs.
Skills/stats and whatnot as added information would be greatly appriciated (hell even armour suggestions would be hugely appriciated)
I thank you in advance for any advice I'm given and I'm off to continue writing up my character profiles for a possible DA story I might be doing XD.
NOTE: I forgot to add I play on the 360...T_T I dont have a decent PC to play it on that...otherwise I would get the complete collection in a heartbeat.
2nd Playthrough help ^_^

The largest DPS a warrior can put out (in origins) is the two daggers build... the draw back is this warrior does not add any thing but damage, therefore you need a lock-opener, mage (heals and CC) and tank. Notice your party is now full? Yes you can drop one but (especially on nightmare) that's going to hamper you.
I humbly suggest that you consider the human bard/ whatever instead as this build brings almost as much DPS but with the added utility of opening locks, scouting and the flexibility to adjust your party to the RP/ tactical situations.

Probably the easiest class to solo on Nightmare is a dual wielding rogue. The good news is that if you start your second run through after doing all the DLC's on your first, you should start out with some good gear as well as quite a bit of cash.
Do try one of the dwarven origins. They are quite well done.
In fact, if you roleplay, consider trying all the origins and see which one suits your character best. Dwarf noble is probably the best origin for a powergamer, but it is also quite good from a roleplaying standpoint.

The dwarf is the other origin that has the option to get laid... of course, humans can pick between same sex or opposite sex... but I'm not sure if that makes any difference to you.

The only difficulty related achievements are the Varterral/Harvester ones.

aha XD thanks for all the input.
I guess I can go ahead with a Rouge on my 2nd instead of a warrior type. If anything I'll be able to research a bit more for that playthrough while I do the Rouge run XD
EDIT:espite the fact I wanted to go sword and shield XDD

i would suggest the wardens keep dlc, and researching your class specialisation unlocks, you can get them for other classes as well. Best to make the most of your first few play-throughs.
