Hey, just wondering if anyone has had this problem on PC, I'm not 100 % sure it's Dragon Age but the timing is about right. I'm running 64-bit vista and I usually turn absolutely everything off including the sidebar when running DA:O in order to give my cpu an easier time. Often, however when I exit the game and turn my sidebar back on, I notice my CPU is running at 50%+ as its baseline when it's usually between about 0 and 15%.
Once I restart, things go back to normal, and like I said I don't *know* that Dragon Age is causing this but I wonder if anyone else had similar issues.

Dragon Age is the only game that pushes one of my cores to 80 degrees. That's only a reading for one of my four cores, but it's best to imagine the highest temp is what all the cores are.
There might be some issue there. No other game pushes it over 70-72 max.

I have had overheating problems too. I quit Dragon Age and played again 10-20 minutes later. It doesn't seem to overheat anymore now.

Common problem with duo and quad cores, here's a thread with more details and tricks that have helped some people.

Whilst I think it's pretty much established that there is a memory link with the game, causing people to restart ( on PC ) every hour at least I have to say I don't see nearly as much of the problem as many of you. Admittedly I have 8GB usable ram but still I don't get the load slowdowns until it's been running at least 5-6 hours ( i tend to never turn anything off, not play 24 hours solid
)
This may have a little to do with me running a RAM optimiser ( part of the tweaknow powerpack suite ) which reclaoms ram all the time and returns it for use to the system.
It may be something others could consider using ( there are many programs out there doing the same thing ) as a temporary fix until it's patched.

I have noticed I have to restart my pc, only when I load to many load screens. The first load on restart is almost instant. After playing for awhile it gets slower and slower until loads are 10-15 mins long. Then all I have to do is quit the game load it back up and boom, instant load. I have a quad core with 4gigs running vista 64 with an overclocked 8600gt So I know its not the me. Also I done this on my lab top and duo core 2.12 with a go 78OO M with 1 gig of ram. Still does the same thing.
