I have said so many times that complaining about anything when the game is soon to be released is only for trolling and venting. It serves no other purpose.

I'm probably the only person in the world who didn't like The Witcher.

You're not, my enhanced edition is sitting on my shelf and I haven't played past about 3 hours. I just found the gameplay boring, the animations (like walking) silly, the dialogue/voice acting awkward, the story bland and the sex cards downright silly. The character's drew zero emotion from me, to be honest, I could careless about Triss, Gerald and the rest of the witchers. When Leo died I was thinking "What an idiot".

but than there would be no voiceovers no music no freedom to explore... theres other reasons people play video games than just "OMFG COOL GRAPHICS!"

Just like when people watch movies theres other things going on then just CGI. if the only thing that mattered was CGI than micheal bay would be the best director in history....

TW2 is (atleast for the moment) PC exclusive. It is not fair to compare TW2's graphics with those of DA2, when DA2 was designed from the ground-up to accomodate all 3 platforms.

When I played Warhammer Online, I remember having to force AA outside of the game when playing it. *shrugs* That still the case?

In the battle of boobs, TW2 clearly wins.

But Isabella made a strong showing...:bandit:

The Dialogue was indeed akward because of translation issues. The Witcher - Enhanced edition fixed that. It also had new animations.

Anyway, you are probably expecting the wrong thing. Did you read the witcher novels? Its not about drama and tears.

The animations in the game seem to be much more stylish and dramatic (motion blur?)-and the graphics are something like 4% better then DA:O in general terms...

But what matters is that they're solid enough to make the art style look good-the game is not impeded at all by the graphics. (For what I've seen.)

Still...Bioware spent too much time on all those awesome cinematics.

I'm playing the Enchanced Edition and no animations are fixed with the character's faces, they still look emotionless.

LOL :D. Trust the forums to come up with an instant response.

Anyway, since I think it's the DA2 console players who believe DAO looked worse and the PC players who believe it looks terrible, I would like to see what TW2 looks like on the consoles.

(Disclaimer: This is a generalization. Feel free to not fall into either category)

I don't know.. Seeing Hawke strike a guy 60-70 times with a two handed sword(the leaked demo footage), in the back, just didn't feel.. I don't know.. Right? I'm sure I'll get used to it though, hopefully. :)

it's good enough. if it is possible to be made on consoles it's not unlikely it will get released on consoles afterwards. so yes i'm predicting it will be on ps3 or xbox360 in time.

As long as the graphics are able to get across the appropriate atmosphere during the game I don't worry too much about it. Are beautiful graphics nice....of course, but the game has to be able to provide good content as well.

It's like judging a book by it's cover.........take a Game of Thrones for example. The cover is rather bland, but that doesn't mean the book isn't quality anyway. Mediocre example but it gets my point across. Don't judge a game only by it's graphics......otherwise you'll miss a lot of quality games.

None have huds and you think they are actual in game screens?

EDIT:

Their official site says artwork. Next time research. The full game will probably look just as bad as the last.

A lot of websites keep screenshots under artwork. They are official screenshots. The plants clipping through the board on the first picture makes it rather obvious. And the abscence of a HUD means absolutely nothing. It's standard practice when it comes to releasing screenshots.

I'd suggest taking your own advice. And the original Risen was arguably better looking than Dragon Age II, too.

Hey, you know what? I don't care about graphics. I think DAII's look fine. If you want to tout how much better TW2's are, fine, be my guest. But that won't make it a better game.

You know what I think when I see the graphics?

Yeah...though it will *never* look like those screenshots already released on any of those two consoles...so that point is kind of moot.

TW2 is being developed around the strength of the PC.
DA2 is (was) being developed around the capabilites of the consoles.

...in all fairness, though, BW really seems to want to make an effort this time for the PC crowd (directx 11 effects, high res texture pack).

Talking of The Witcher's graphics, have people even considered the system reqs that might be required to run it at that detail level? Or has that not entered the equation?

And someone should ban TheWhiteWolf... the person's obviously here to troll. The username gives it away as does spamming pictures, alongside the join day under her/his username.

Thats an engine issue. I was talking about the combat/moving animations. But really,  The Witcher used a modified  Aurora Engine. Do you really expect complex facial animations? The game looked awesome for what resources it had.
