You're not, my enhanced edition is sitting on my shelf and I haven't played past about 3 hours. I just found the gameplay boring, the animations (like walking) silly, the dialogue/voice acting awkward, the story bland and the sex cards downright silly.
You know, not everyone loved Dragon Age either (inconceivable!!!!), yet it doesn't prevent us from liking it.
Just like everything else out there.

yes the pc version will always look better but consoles aren't that weak in the graphical department.
the uncharted series is one of such examples.

That "IT'S ALL ABOUT THE STORY" argument is retarded, sorry. If you think this way, play some games from the 90's.
1 - The graphics aren't bad.
2 - Playing baldur's gate 1 for the first time here and yes, the graphics don't bother me.
3 - Yes, its all about the story.

The Dialogue was indeed akward because of translation issues. The Witcher - Enhanced edition fixed that. It also had new animations.
Anyway, you are probably expecting the wrong thing. Did you read the witcher novels? Its not about drama and tears.
I'm playing the Enchanced Edition and no animations are fixed with the character's faces, they still look emotionless.
Thats an engine issue. I was talking about the combat/moving animations. But really, The Witcher used a modified Aurora Engine. Do you really expect complex facial animations? The game looked awesome for what resources it had.
I didn't expect anything amazing with graphics but no facial expressions on a character makes it hard for me to feel for them expecially when most of them had bad voice acting. TW2 seems to do away with that issue but I'm not sure they can make characters like Bioware does. What immerses me into the story is if the characters are believable, I couldn't care about graphics (as long as they aren't bad.).

Origins itself wasn't exactly a next gen marvel in that area either and DA2 is still using the same engine.
As long as the gfx succeed in giving the game the right feel and atmosphere I'm happy.

Baldur's Gate II is still my favourite game of all time. I wouldn't say that graphics mean nothing to me, but I don't need cutting edge graphics to thoroughly enjoy a game. As long as the graphics provide a good, suitable atmosphere and do not to detract from the story I am experiencing, I do not care in the least. Story is what matters to me. Everything else is secondary.
Full of win
THIS. I can appreciate amazing cinematics and overall good graphics - I mean the beauty of Crysis just blew my mind away when I first played it... But, in the end, graphics just aren't the "make-or-break" factor for me. It's simply a matter of priorities, and story and gameplay hold higher value in my opinion. Take Assassin's Creed for example - they haven't changed the engine since they released the first game in what? 2007? Sure the graphics are a bit dated (decent though), but the sequels were still really fun to play (minus the draconian drm, but I won't derail the thread) because it had other things going for it i.e. voice acting, story, combat, and other gameplay features.
The same holds for DA2. I can either spend a lot of time and effort praying that it will look like a masterpiece that will put Crysis and The Witcher to shame, or I can simply appreciate the other amazing features the game has to offer.

What is the witcher 2?Nobody knows what the Witcher is besides a few of yall P.C. extremists.Dragon Age 2 will sell more than witcher due to the fact that it is more popular and get better reviews due to the fact that EA gave Bioware the money needed to make a quality game. The Witcher 2 aint popping no where and is irrelevant.
This argument is so full of win.

Talking of The Witcher's graphics, have people even considered the system reqs that might be required to run it at that detail level? Or has that not entered the equation?
Probably not. I'm sure peeps will try to run TW2 with that level of detail only to find they will need to invest money in high end PC hardware.

The graphics were far superior to those of DAO on the XBox and perhaps a little better than DAO on PC.
Well, that's promising!

Eric: Only just noted you quoted me now and replied, these forums move too fast especially in heated topics... but what also doesn't seem to be thought of is that Dragon Age 2 will most likely be more accessible to people (system req wise).

This. I really don't get it. In my opinion they will probably be two great games, and people could enjoy both (as Skyrim and ME3). The RPG war is really a thing I'll never understand
