It will probably not look as good as Skyrim either. That doesn't mean DA2 won't be as good a game. Hell, it will probably be better IMO.

To me, not being able to create your own character in TW2 makes that game a lot less appealing than DA2. It doesn't matter how good it looks.

You got a free Enchanced Edition upgrade if you had the original game.

There's no doubt that TW2 trumps DA2 in terms of graphical fidelity and i'd be lying if i'd be saying that i wouldn't have prefered DA2 having graphics comparable to TW2. Having said said, DA2 looks good enough, it's definitely not bad looking, more than on graphics i wish they would have worked a lot more on facial expressions, because that's what really brings characters alive, makes them believable and relatable (TW2 seems also lacking in that department from what i've seen so far). They will need to step up their game considerably after what Rockstar is doing with LA Noir, if they wanna stay at the forefront of digital acting.

The graphics for DA2 look good. The graphics for TW look bad but bad graphics didn't stop people from playing it. As for TW2, the lighting looks terrible, lights go through people's head and that's already starting to bug me. DA2 looks good at what it was trying to achieve whereas TW2 doesn't.

So have fun with your graphics, if the combat is rubbish, will you even enjoy TW2?

I think both will be good games, just stop judging a game based on graphics because both games look good.

The pics floating around are from the PC version running @ medium/console settings.  The high/very high settings will be PC exclusive, and will feature DX11 enhancements and cleaner looking textures.

Also TW2 will have DX11 enhancements as well.

In my opinion-- no game comes anywhere close to the graphics of Mass Effect 2, or even Mass Effect. Those games (especially 2) have the best, most photo-realistic graphics I"ve ever seen. I hoped that DA and DA II would follow suit being that they're made by the same company.... But actually, I think even though the graphics are some would say "outdated"... really, in my opinion, they do suit the genre of Fantasy... and really to be hioest once I got into Origins.. the characters, the story, etc... I didn't really care that the graphics were "last generation". I think they've made an improvement for DA II, but again, tha's not totally all I concenerend about

The Witcher has a lot of female fans, and Geralt himself certainly isn't portrayed as a sexist.  His girlfriend is a Sorceress after all, thats barren.  On the other hand, the World itself is sexist and chauvinistic, but thats because it draws heavily from our History for inspiration, and as a result, ends up being much more authentic.. 

Unlike Bioware's creation which comes across as contrived, politically correct and thus unrealistic..

I like the graphics.

Maybe I'm just easy to please. I played Jade Empire recently and the old school graphics are fine to me because the story was so engaging, and I ended up replaying it a few times. Not long before that, I played on FFXIII, which was fun, and beautiful, but didn't hook me in the same way. It's all fine and well to stare at something that's beautiful, but that won't carry me personally through a game that lasts 30+ hours.

It was set in a fantasy universe based from the forgotten realms and LOTR I'm guessing which is why you have women running around with swords but that didn't stop humans from trying to rape elven women (and succeeding if you allow them) now did it?

If elephant man's great great grandfather's girlfriend is Triss...then Geralt (elephant man's great great grandfather) has some serious issues got allowing his girlfriend to run around half naked which was frowned upon in medieval times expecially by the higher ranking people.

Sex Cards are the ultima ratio here mate, nobody cares that *you* play him as a womanizer, nobody cares that there is only 1 non-optional encounter, and you can be a father figure to a kid and your gf substitutes as a mother for him.

The only thing that's sad is that they seem to have made the graphics on the PC worse than DA:O and generally that's not a good thing for a sequel. Graphical parity right, now the consoles get to drag us all down. Also I should add that I'm not a big fan of the art direction of this sequel compared to its predecessor.

I'm aware of the medium setting but i have yet to read that the higher settings include better textures. As for TW2, it may have some DX11 support but the engine was primarily build for DX9. Again, i doubt it'll make a big difference.

Honestly the original DAO graphics for DA2 would still be good enough for me. But better graphics would still be a welcome bonus of course as long as the fighting and story are good.
