And it's not just The Witcher 2. Risen 2 also looks miles ahead of Dragon Age II in the visual department.
I think we're all just disappointed as we know that BioWare is capable of so much more. I think it was Mike who compared BioWare to an Olympic athlete. Well, there's a lot of pressure on Olympic athletes.
Have to say awesomely detailed graphics in those Witcher 2 and that. DA lacks in detail but not in athmosphere and balance.
Anyway lets see graphics in my long time favorit RPG.

Heh, nice. Lets see another example of the same game with truly awesome ascii graphics.

Weird... I didn't get that feeling at all. Probably because I don't consider it a given that every society imagineable would evolve to subjugate woman.
Are you trolling or just ignorant? Until fairly recently (probably the turn of the 20th century), every single society in the world "subjugated" women on some level.
I was asking if it was so hard to concieve of a society that isn't an opressive patriarchy, that when one shows up in a fictitious world that it's immediately written off as an attempt at being politically correct.
I apologize if I didn't make that clear enough for you. If you were confused or uncertain, you could've just said so. Or called me an ignorant troll I guess.

I agree with this, I prefer the "politically correct" over the suppose realist and dark world of TW. There are good thing about TW like moral choices and some parts of the core story but I will always feel a lot more connect to the DA universe.

Well that game have awesome graphics too.
Great sig you have by the way. I think one reason why I stopped playing BG2 was that I did not want to kill the most awesome mage in the universe lol.

It's a little pointless to keep harping about graphics when the game is out next month.
Some people want to let the devs know how upset they are, and that the game will fail because of 'X'. Heaven forbid that the devs decide not to join the crowd of game companys following the pied piper of 'realistic graphics' until all games look the same.

From what i have seen, DAII looks fine. Not extraordinary by any stretch of the imagination, but i'm confident that the other facets of the game will more than make up for it... so i join you in that sentiment.

I b*tched on TW2 forums about some new developments I saw in TW2 in a video earlier this month. I went on and on about how they were mainstreaming the game and used all sorts of colorfull language. Then one of the users kinda slapped everyone upside the head with a thread saying everyone was being rude, childish, and overreacting. I had to agree.
I've made the same mistake here too:wizard: but I think everyone needs to realize these guys bust their asses to bring us a great game. If people want to criticize, do it with some tact, and understand that if an issue has been brought up 100 times already we don't need to bring it up again.

I've not seen anyone say it's going to fail because of 'X' , DA:2 won't win any awards for graphics and animation, but I suspect it will win plenty for the story.Nohvarr wrote...

Bioware games have never had or been about leading edge graphics. To keep complaining about it is pointless. The next games wont have them either.
But it certainly will still have people ****ing about them!
