I guess it all comes down to this. If you were living a very happy life, but in reality you were in the Matrix, would you want to be rescued?

For me it is a all a question of personal taste. Both options (die young and happy or old and bitter) are valid , as long as you get TO CHOOSE. The problem with desire demons is that they don't allow you to choose - they choose for you.
Otherwise it is all valid , weather you choose to spend your time outside suffering with everybody else or immersing in virtual gaming bliss (often forgetting that you need to eat or sleep).
