Hi guys

I just installed Mass Effect 1 on my pc and I started the campain.
Now, the first time I go to the battlefield (Eden) I have this kind of view:

I tried playing around with the graphics settings, but nothing solved it.

Any help is most welcome, I really want to start playing this game! :)

PC Specifications:
Windows Xp
Intell 6400 duo core 1.73 GHz
1 Gb RAM DDR2 533 MHz
256 mb ATI Mobility Radeon X1400

Try reading the system requirements.

Supported chipsets: nVidia GeForce 6800GT or greater, ATI Radeon X1300 XT or greater. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported.

The real name of the minimum Radeon was the X1600 Pro, a Desktop video card.  There is no official support for any kind of laptop video.  Five years ago, the X1600 Pro was overmatched seriously by the raw speed of the Geforce 7600 GT, and ATI figured out a way to redesign their X1600 "XT" somewhat to reduce its cost to manufacture, so they renamed it to be "X1650 Pro" and developed a still-better version they named the X1650 XT (while they were making those changes, they also added an "X1650 GT" model, which hadn't been a part of the original X1600 series) . .

There were still many of the graphics chips for the original X1600 Pro in their warehouse, and they ran some of those through a reflashing process to rename them in their BIOSes to the "X1300 XT" that was rather oddly the minimum Radeon Bioware chose to use in the official requirements, instead of the original name (AFAIK, they sold rather few of the now reflashed "X1300 XT" chips, so Bioware choosing that name really confuses things for everyone).

You can look up the relative ranking of your X1400 card compared to all of those mentioned, over at NotebookCheck, but it's my own (vague) recollection that it is weaker than the slowest of the X1300 Desktop cards (which was the "vanilla" version).
