To be honest, I have no idea why I loved that insanely ancient game so much, but I know I played the hell out of its ancient a**.
Yeah that sentence is really weird.

Much more deep and with an awesome story and characters, this will be the game to take the throne from BGII. just look at how amazingly relevant and deep the skill tree looks, compared to the redundant and overfilled mess that was BGII abilities.
Much more awesome story?...and characters? I'm sorry but Boo demands proof. If no poof is given, Minsc smash!

BG2 isn't "insanely ancient".
Ultima 7 is 19 years old and it's still one of the best CRPGs ever made.

I've tried running FF7 and failed. Also, I don't remember seeing Gamespot reviews on any crpgs before Planscape. I should probably ferret through GOG. Do you know any good review sites for ancient (and not so ancient

Nope. Not unless you're still a teenager.
Baldur's Gate 2 is not ancient, let alone insanely ancient. It's barely old.

I haven't either. I'm fairly certain that it is some kind of video game sin. I briefly played one of the Baldur's Gate games on the PS2 at a friend's, but I can't remember which.
And I started gaming about 11 years ago, so it is old for me.

DA has poofs - Zevran is one of them and I'm guessing Fernis will be one as well. So you have your wish don't you?
