83h for BG2+Exp?

I just looked at my old BG2 savegames and I spent 123 days and 8 hours of game time on a single playthrough, which makes, if I remember that correctly, over 246h real time without ToB.

What? WTH is that? That's so wrong!
I use a program(application) to count the hours when I play a game.

Hmm, 1d BG2 in-game time =~ 2h real time, that's what I had in mind.

But you're right, that doesn't work anyway, because of the in-game time spent for resting.

Much more deep and with an awesome story and characters, this will be the game to take the throne from BGII. just look at how amazingly relevant and deep the skill tree looks, compared to the redundant and overfilled mess that was BGII abilities.

Why does anything have to be better than BG2? I thought that old jewels are supposed to remain as old jewels. You will never get a similar experience from any game. Mostly it has to do with the development of game engines, everything is 3D now and it completely alters the feel of modern games vs. games like BG.

It's easier to accept new games as excellent if you stop digging around for a new "throne taker".

Never in a million years will BioWare outdo BG2.  Games are far too complex now-a-days for one..to get the amount of depth, story, and detail.  Not to mention EA wouldn't go for the time or resources it would cost to do such a thing.

so again.

My personel belief why BG2 was as good as it was is the collective awesomeness of Interplays black isle stuido and bioware togeather their like vultron and optimus prime togeather.

Considering Bioware themselves have stated that making a modern copy of BG2 is unlikely, unfeasible and impossible, yes, I don't think they or anyone else possess the resources to make a game reaching that level of quality again.

Games are forever doomed to be crap. From then on. So let's just go back and discuss these mediocre games that are being shoveled into our face.
