Ugh, both revised faces just look wrong. This isn't like DAO which doesn't aim for a photorealistic look to faces, where you can mod Leliana or Morrigan to look more aesthetically pleasing without squirming at the fundamental level that you're violating something.

Granted, the port of Strahovski's face wasn't perfect for Miranda, but the way she looks is already ingrained into so many players' mind. Messing that up is really a bad idea.

Yes Mate209, your new Miranda does look a lot better. Especially the hair, which I have always thought looked ridiculous. The new eyes are also better than her original unfocused pot head eyes. And I also approve of the slimmer jaw-line, since I always thought that Miranda's face looked like it was pumped full of air. If I could, I would change Miranda to look like that in my game permanently.



And why do so many people attack the Jack picture, when he clearly is not promoting it? I guess some people are just retards.

It never fails to stun me just how many people are unable to accept that different people have different opinions.

Jesus Christ folks, not everyone thinks the same way you do!  Opinions, by definition, are subjective.  Everyone has their own taste and it is complete arrogance to even suggest that someone is somehow inferior because they don't have the same taste you do.

Miranda's default face does fall into the uncanny valley every now and then but you know what?  She still looks fairly realistic and resembles Yvonne Strahovski well enough to where it doesn't bother me (the jawline is still off, but whatever).

That's not a justification to make it worse.  Miranda might have an "idealized" body, but making her face even more of an "ideal" is only hurting the character.

I like how Miranda currently looks, granted the charcter model doesn't really do justice to Yvonne Stahovski's stunning beauty but at least it looks sort of okay ( although slighty off ). Maybe I have been playing ME2 too much but I have gotten used to Miranda's imprefections ( the puffy cheeks, the fact that the camera is always looking up her nose or making it look too big ), it's part of who she is and part of her charm

The modified pic does not look right. It looks like a botched plastic surgery job. I feel cold whenever I look at that thing in the second pic. She also looks more alien than human.

I think the second one looks a bit more natural. Maybe just a bit too small mouth. Should find the truth between. But don't care about the face that much as long as her damn outfits are as ridicilous as they are. (oh but I think they fixed that a bit in some cosmetic dlc, too bad I don't do those)

Gamers are so used to 'perfect' women in their games that they no longer recognize beauty.

I thought Miranda was beautiful, I thought Liara was beautiful. I thought Morrigan was beautiful and I thought Leliana was beautiful.

EDIT: Yes, different people find different things attractive, but there is also a such thing as universally recognized beauty in western civilization.

The fact is... Mass Effect doesnt need anymore "spandex in space" marketing. Just show it on cover/back of box, maybe let her wear it on the ship.. but not in damn combat. That and 18+ mark is enough to sell the game to teenagers...
