Okay, so I'm almost afraid to ask this question. I just beat ME2 for the first time last night. Had a great time, it was awesome! So now I'm given the option of importing him to play the game again. I continued the game and did some dialogue stuff, saved the game and exited. When selecting New Game it gives me the choice to import a character, so just to see what it would be like, I did. However after doing this, I go back and my save games from the first time I went through ME2 aren't there any more?? Are they unrecoverable?

If i choose to Import again it shows my old save there aboard the Normandy so I know it hasn't been deleted. is there a way I can load up my old game??

The character you import is a new career. You need to change careers. Your old character should be available.



In the load menu if you press triangle you should be able to select the previous career.

when your on the load screen it will say switch carrer, which is triangle i belive, and it will bring up all of your characters that you have created and you can select the one that you want to play.
