Cause I know that most of my dialogue choices will be :P

I ask because in all the demo videos I've seen, everyone else also seems to go for snarky or saracastic options too. I think even Mike Laidlaw picked them while doing the livestream a week or two ago.

Though in fairness, who doesn't want to be sarcastic and ****y to everyone anyway?

I prefer to be witty and intelligent Hawke, if possible. With occasional compassionate Hawke and a little persuasive Hawke touch.

No, I didn't find many of the responses funny in the demo.

I'll probably waffle between Jerk Hawke and Nice Hawke.

My Hawke is not going to have dominant personality, he'll just pick choices as appropriated by the situation he is facing or the situation the one he's talking to is facing.

I will! Though I too hope the options are better than what I've seen so far. The snark just wasn't strong enough *shakes head*

People who are consistently sarcastic are douches.

Thankfully, there is no 'sarcastic Hawke' option. There's the humorous option that is occasionally sarcastic.

I plan to break it down like so:
Diplomatic - 60%
Charming/Humorous - 30%
Aggressive - 10%

As I understand it, the dominant personality is a game mechanic. There's no avoiding it. Whatever you pick the most often will be your dominant personality and will be used for situations where the PC talks without player input.

No.. I'm going to act mostly aggressive, with some friendly, and sarcastic thrown in when the situation demands it.

Being sarcastic in every dialogue choice is a bit lame.

I know Bioware writers love sarcasm, and I like it too, but I hope they don't over do it.

Oh I know, I meant I won't be pushing him towards one in particular, whichever one I happen to pick the most will do... I try not to metagame anything on my first run :wizard:

I'll think about it. I intended to be sarcastic, but from what I've seen the dialogue isn't funny (unlike the suave options in Alpha Protocol). "Sarcastic" Hawke is more like "optimistic" Hawke

You unlock John Cleese Hawk voice if you use sarcastic comments the entire game.

I like a balance between nice and sarcastic/charming/comedic when the situation is appropriate. If I'm talking to a nasty person or something, the aggressive option may be important. It's easy to forget that there is no morality system in this game as in other games; the "evil" option isn't necessarily evil if you're being offered money to sell people into slavery or something like that.

For a Rogue more than likely, but it will normally be a case of depending on the situation

(Sort of like real life)
