Just go replay that mission really. She clearly quits. She disobeys direct order from Illusive man to stop shepard from blowing the base up, she says "consider this my resignation" and cuts the line. Considering how TIM is fuming becuse you blew his base up there is no way Miranda was "faking it" Sorry.
I agree with this.
That scene was pretty cut and dry, with no interpretation necessary. Miranda quits Cerberus. Basically by the end game she has grown to be more personally loyal to Shepard than to TIM.

Why not Joker? There are people in the here and now with his condition, and many have and deserve to have a love life
Also, theres more, much more to romance then Shagging. Shep and Joker have been side by side through it all and it'd be a great romance to end the Shepard series.
Sure, there is more to relationships than just sex. But no healthy relationship survives without it. After money issues and lack of communication, sex (or lack of it) is the leading cause for divorce. Realistically I just don't see things working out for Shep & Joker.
That, and I think it would be better if Joker has a 'relationship' of sorts with EDI, even it is just intellectual or emotional. The banter between the two of them is fun.
Tali and Garrus? Really? Tali had the best romance in ME 2, in my opinion, as it was actually deeper then any of the others (bar Jack's, but she turned too quick to be realistic imo). Garrus's wasn't much more then "hey wanna go practice flexibility and reach" but it was still nice as you both have history. Probably the two best romances imo, up with Ashley's, although I don't find her too likeable.
I was against either of those characters becoming LIs because I thought some of the aliens should remain 'alien,' and be incompatible with humans in that way. The Tali romance doesn't really make any sense at all, since their people spend near every waking moment in envirosuits, and sex with a human could make them ill or potentially kill them. She was made a LI in ME2 only as fan service for her large and rabid following.
Tali's romance was ok and she was a much better developed character in ME2 than she was in ME1, but I don't think her romance was the best written. I play as a Male Shep and as such have never romanced Thane, but having watched all of the cutscenes I missed online, I have to say Thane's is much deeper than Tali's. So is Liara's romance if you include LotSB. I'd include Jack's romance as being deeper as well, but you already mentioned her.
The romance with Garrus also makes little sense. He is covered with a metallic carapace, has mandibles, and talons. His features are so alien that they wouldn't be physically appealing to most humans, nor would most Turians find humans physically attractive. To Bioware's credit though they did sort of write that into the Garrus romance, since in the final scene he struggles to compliment FemShep. It's clear he isn't physically attracted to her and is only drawn to her emotionally. But the scene still comes off as a bit creepy. I mean realistically if Turians existed, humans sleeping with them would no doubt be viewed as having a bizarre fetish.
