It is possible that Miranda "really" quit Cerberus, and if she did "really" quit, I'd chalk it up to a B.S. Hollywood ending. Miranda is quite open early on that she has used her looks to "give her an edge," so I can see it all being an act to try and keep Shepard on the reservation and help keep an eye on him should s/he stray. And even if she did "really" quit, I'm sure her YEARS OF LOYAL service to TIM may actually give her some motivation to either get back into his good graces or at the very least sabotage any attempt by Shepard to take him down.

Just go replay that mission really. She clearly quits. She disobeys direct order from Illusive man to stop shepard from blowing the base up, she says "consider this my resignation" and cuts the line. Considering how TIM is fuming becuse you blew his base up there is no way Miranda was "faking it" Sorry.

She even said just before TIM asked her to stop shepard that it's a bad idea, and that the base should be destoryed.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to believe that Miranda would disobey a direct order and allow a huge asset to be destroyed just to maintain a cover.

But that would mean making Miranda a deeper character... and I don't see that happening.

As I said I thought the Tali romance was one of the more "deeper" relationships in the game.  You have history with her, you're the only one there for her when her home accuses her of treason, you're there when you find her father, there's the whole "people can't look behind the mask thing"... plus she's only a few years younger then Shephard.  You want a real pedo relationship, look no further than Liara... who's only 10 in human years.  ...

I expect you can finish the Geth/Quarian thing peacefully, but I believe if you can't talk your way to peace another option would be picking between Legion and the Geth and Tali and the Quarians, and helping one side take out the other.  That would be a bold move, as both characters are pretty well-liked... hell they're two of my favorite characters, so I'm not really sure what I'd even do...

No Joker, Parasinni, Shiala, Samara, or Morinth. In fact, the only new romanceable characters in ME3 should be the new guys on your squad.

Sorry, ladies, I love Joker, but he's family.

But...  But, I want Samara.:crying:

I believe Miranda's exact words were, "consider this my resignation." Last I checked, that's fancy-speak for "I quit."

I did it today on my Paragade vanguard. Miranda quit.Jacob quit. So I am 100% sure.

Oh, I believe you. I am just hoping against hope that BioWare would surprise me. One fall back position could be a "what the hell did you expect me to do, TIM?" Turn on Shepard, not get killed, take out his back up, not get killed, take over a ship run by a crew loyal to Shepard (remember, Joker was the one who patched TIM through), not get killed, and fly the ship back alone, provided EDI still considered itself loyal to Cerberus. If and when Miranda (probably never) does turn, I'm sure she'd pick her spot carefully.

I am afraid they will make Cerberus betray you even if you hand the base to them :/ Its cheap but it will happen. either that or Cerberus will be totaly insignificant throught whole game. Just like decision to save council was almost totaly meaningless in ME2

Okay, back to the topic at hand. Sorry to derail it.

Ahem.

Conrad Vernor. He should just be my friend. Or friendly acquaintance. Or punching bag.

Sometimes I imagine my renegade Shepard having some hot and heavy make-up sex with Khalisah al-Jilani. Oh, yeah...

Mordin. I love the guy and think he's awesome, but I enjoy having a blatantly asexual character (and sapient species) as part of my crew. Hope he sticks around for the next game.

Also, why not Joker? Death by snu-snu need not occur: Shep can be gentle. Image IPB

I think you just broke my brain; has anybody ever wanted to snog Mordin?

Joker has GOT to be romance-able in ME3... But I vote for all squadmates and crew to be romance-able.

I disagree about Joker and TIM not being romanceble. They're my top two choices.

On the other hand no one else especially in ME1 should've been romanceble. Shep's a commanding officer and shouldn't be sleeping with those under his/her command.

I vote you shouldn't be able to bang Mordin. Salarians basically barter with papers to bang with each other, they don't care about the whole fun aspect.

Also whoever says Joker shouldn't be romanceable, their opinion sucks. Just sayin'

Also Kasumi is a person I don't want to see as a romance. Just because I like that she is one of the few people who doesn't want to get into Shepard's pants.

Kasumi has her eyes on "The Prize" anyway, according to LotSB.

I agree with this.

That scene was pretty cut and dry, with no interpretation necessary. Miranda quits Cerberus. Basically by the end game she has grown to be more personally loyal to Shepard than to TIM.

Also, theres more, much more to romance then Shagging. Shep and Joker have been side by side through it all and it'd be a great romance to end the Shepard series.

Sure, there is more to relationships than just sex. But no healthy relationship survives without it. After money issues and lack of communication, sex (or lack of it) is the leading cause for divorce. Realistically I just don't see things working out for Shep & Joker.

That, and I think it would be better if Joker has a 'relationship' of sorts with EDI, even it is just intellectual or emotional. The banter between the two of them is fun.

Tali and Garrus? Really? Tali had the best romance in ME 2, in my opinion, as it was actually deeper then any of the others (bar Jack's, but she turned too quick to be realistic imo). Garrus's wasn't much more then "hey wanna go practice flexibility and reach" but it was still nice as you both have history. Probably the two best romances imo, up with Ashley's, although I don't find her too likeable.

I was against either of those characters becoming LIs because I thought some of the aliens should remain 'alien,' and be incompatible with humans in that way. The Tali romance doesn't really make any sense at all, since their people spend near every waking moment in envirosuits, and sex with a human could make them ill or potentially kill them. She was made a LI in ME2 only as fan service for her large and rabid following.

Tali's romance was ok and she was a much better developed character in ME2 than she was in ME1, but I don't think her romance was the best written. I play as a Male Shep and as such have never romanced Thane, but having watched all of the cutscenes I missed online, I have to say Thane's is much deeper than Tali's. So is Liara's romance if you include LotSB. I'd include Jack's romance as being deeper as well, but you already mentioned her.

The romance with Garrus also makes little sense. He is covered with a metallic carapace, has mandibles, and talons. His features are so alien that they wouldn't be physically appealing to most humans, nor would most Turians find humans physically attractive. To Bioware's credit though they did sort of write that into the Garrus romance, since in the final scene he struggles to compliment FemShep. It's clear he isn't physically attracted to her and is only drawn to her emotionally. But the scene still comes off as a bit creepy. I mean realistically if Turians existed, humans sleeping with them would no doubt be viewed as having a bizarre fetish.

I just have to tell that the bolded part of your post is absolutely and utterly wrongImage IPB In fact, I'm actually insulted by it. However, that's getting drastically off topic, so I'll leave that be.

Along the same lines, it's been said that real life people who have his condition do, in fact, have healthy lives, healthy sex lives, have children, and maintain loving relationships. And Joker has been seen doing far more strenuous activities than having sex. I think he'd get along just fine.

I, too, hope that Joker and EDI's friendship continues into the next game. However, I'd hope that their friendship wouldn't prevent Joker having a romantic relationship, even with someone besides Shep. Image IPB

How many marriages would last even close to their 30th or 40th year, if that marriage was sexless?
