Heh, he meant The Witcher 2, not Two Worlds 2 (which is actually crap)boohead wrote...

it's getting miserable scores, nothing close to Dragon Age, or any Bioware game.
And having played it, it's actually pretty bad.

Was talking about how you showed up on every thread spewing how the demo was crap, or BioWare was doing something you personally didn't approve of.
Every person what played the demo said it was short and shallow. You just seem to refuse to believe it.I've said both of those things in different threads. The demo isn't crap 'cos there's no CC, it's because there's no inventory, no CC, no NOTHING.Here's the difference: Constructive criticism: You know, I really think BioWare should've let us have the CC for the demo because it would (for example) allow us to find the character we really want to look at for the main game.
You: It has no CC. It is crap.
You'll see tommorow
No, I've known that ever since they announced it. As did everybody else.
You, on the other hand, have been trying to annoy us all by telling us stuff that BioWare has already included in the FAQ.
The demo's purpose, is not to give us the whole game. It is to give us a taste of the game. Thus, it is supposed to be short and 'shallow'.

Yup, I trolled, notice the past tense.
Look up any posts for the past 2 days (including today) that is considered trolling, come on now, you can do it!

Reviewers aren't meant to review a game before it's finished. PC gamer reviewed the game several days before it even went gold. And look it up, you'll find dozens of cases where those things were true.JigPig wrote...
So, DarthCaine, TW2 aside, can you give me a reference, source, or quote on the claim you made up?
These new reviews were released after it went gold, however they also gave the very similar scores to games like Two Worlds 2 and FNV (while more professional reviewers berated them both) which makes their scores mean jack

On topic: I don't think a review on the high 80s is a bad game. Heck, DA:O was in high 80s for the 360 and I still bought it. And yes I know it was made for PC, blah blah, but I'm glad the DA games are accessible to console players like me. I use my PC for work so no games in there!
I also think that people need to be careful how they treat reviews. There's been quite a few games that I've thought were crap and got high reviews and the same can be said vice-versa. I trust what I think. And I think YOU guys should too. That's why I think demos are very important.
I trust DA2 will be good. I loved DA:O and so far from the information I've gathered DA2 will be good. The question is will it be as good as the first one? WE need to play the game and judge it.
In any case the three games I'm really looking forward to are DA2, TW2 (hopefully they release it for consoles) and Skyrim. I think all 3 will deliver, so the fanboys/fangirls need to relax and let everyone enjoy the ride.

Two Worlds 2 came out first, so by the gaming world rule, TW2 applies to that game!!!!!!!!!!
Which one I'm talking about:
Demon Souls
Dead Space
Dark Stone
Draken Sang
Dungeon Siege
Nintendo DS

There is, however both must be the final build of the game, meaning when the game goes gold.crimzontearz wrote...
dart, again there is a difference between a review copy and a retail copy
DarthCaine wrote...
Not really. GameSpot for example berated FNV for being buggy as hell. If they reviewed the beta build and Obsidian magically fixed every bug in the final version, their review wouldn't make any sensePhrosniteAgainROFL wrote...
The final stage in developement in bug crushing. A review can give a pass to bugs and still give a fair review of the game. Hell, even in alpha version represents what the final product would be like.

I'm not saying I think the game's perfect as the game's bugs got on my nerves, but I wouldn't say those scores show that the critics blasted the game.
Edit: And I really love my typos....

No, but to be honest?
I'm getting rather fed up of the cesspit that is the forum. People would rather just assume everything's ****e before playing it.
And yes, I should know better when it comes to logging onto forums as a game's release approaches. (And yes, I know you're not saying it's going to be ****e, but there is there a tonne of complaining by everyone so it seems like everyone thinks that way. I mean, why not look at the positives?)

This.
Never trust a mag which gives glowing reviews to a big upcoming game before the game is even gold. How much time, really, do you think they spent playing and analyzing the game for the purposes of writing a GOOD REVIEW to their customers?
Not much time at all, because a good review = 'the game is awesome' and their customers aren't the guys buying the magazine, it's the f--ing company/parent company that's paying for the awesome review.

Yeah, anyone remember NWN2? The game was UNPLAYABLE at launch. I remember I could not pass the PROLOGUE due to the game crashing so often. Good thing I played it a gaming cafe so I gave up. I bought it in 2009 and after 23 patches, the game was actually great.
I believe the game has 82-84% metascore. Again, another game given a pass...

I still encounter bugs in NWN 2 sadly.
On the flip side though, Alpha Protocol has been blasted as being buggy etc. yet I enjoyed it and only encountered one annoying bug. (Game breaking that is)

No. I'll say it again, DA2 WILL BE A GOOD GAME, but not as good as anything BioWare made in the last 5 years since I haven't liked most of the things I've heard (shorter length, cliff hangar ending, no races, no origins, recycled areas, story not as good as DAO which is really bad since DAO didn't really have a good story)Dan_cw wrote...

The same crap was when ME2 was in development, but I was on opposite team then since I loved all the changes

It's the fact that BioWare work hard to deliver the game to everyone and this is the thanks they get. And no, I'm not a BioWare fan etc. I just appreciate good games and I'd think the same for every game company out there (unless there is a reason I really shouldn't)
Basically, there's a line that needs to be drawn between constructive criticism and critiscism that serves no other purpose than to be destructive. You get what I mean anyway.
Edit: Honestly, if I were the mods, I'd feel like I'm moderating a bunch of children.
