Or something like that.
Beyond the fact that this is a Dragon Age 2 forum, not a TW2 or TW forum.
Wanna talk about TW or TW2, go there. Wanna compare the two games, go to a neutral forum.
Wanna talk about Dragon Age 2 and what it may or may not be. Well, here you go!

It goes both ways Darkeus, either way if one's opinion is in disagreement with my opinion, I reserve every right as a forum member to initiate an argument.
It's like saying if one person declares DA2 has no story at all. Obviously that isn't true and one is obviously going to go against it right?
Same concept, every time TW/TW2 is brought in this forum is when they are making a comparison in what DA2 could do better where TW/TW2 succeeds but DA2 doesnt. Constructive criticism.
Unfortunatly a vocal minorty/majority (give or take) turns these attempts at constructive criticism into a TW vs DA thread resulting in locks.

Some people think the story sucks in TW. That is subjective. It shouldn't be brought up here, this is a Dragon Age 2 forum. On both sides as well.
I would not call it constructive criticism either, it has been some bad trolling. See, who cares what TW2 is doing? This is not the forum to discuss TW2, so why bring it up? Constructive Criticism is not, "This game does this better, nah nah...." And that is exactly what it sounds like you doing, ALL OF THE TIME.
SO again, this is a Dragon Age 2 forum, not a TW2 forum. And mentioning a certain game over and over again ad naseum is annoying, and not Constructive Criticism, it is trolling.
And teh Subjective part is that TW2 may or may not do these thing better in motion as the game is not out yet and has couple of months until it will be. So who knows what TW2 does better or worse than Dragon Age 2 since both games are still unreleased.
That is an argument to be had after both games make their debut, Period.

Sure it's subjective, but I expect some valid proof or some valid reason why said story sucks. Has anyone who claimed this done so yet? No.
And no I don't preach TW2 repeatedly, I've said this in previous threads but I do use other games too for constructive criticism.

Comparisons like that are pretty useless. Again, can't compare games to something that is not out yet.
Maybe they didn't like teh story, don't need much more explaination for that.
That is their opinion.
But again, why bring other games up when Dragon Age 2 is not out yet.

Constructive Criticism, how does one do constructive criticism? By criticising and backing up with sources, suggesting on how they can do better. Note sources.
Where are these sources from? So far from other games.
I fail to see how comparisons of other games results in trolling.

No, they must not, sometimes they (especially paper magazines because they come out only once a month and ideally they want their reviews out before the game comes out) get a slightly earlier version, which is pretty much identical bar some bugs.DarthCaine wrote...
How about the fact that reviewers MUST review a finished build of the game, while PC gamer released it's review a few days before the game went gold

The "This game does this better, that game does this better." is trolling.
There is a difference between "This game could use this technology to do this."
and
"TW 2 does that better, just look at these screen shots." or "THis game totally makes yours look bad, just look at what they did here. That is better than your game."
I think you may not know what Constructive Criticism is....
I hope you can see teh difference.

There is no "proof" for something that's a matter of subjective opinion. If someone doesn't like the story because they find it as dull as dishwater or pathetically bad for whatever their reasons are, then to them it sucks. End of story.
I'm reminded of that book I had to work on a few days ago. Suffice it to say that I wouldn't have willingly read it if given a choice, but the assignment landed in my inbox. I thought the manuscript was utter crap for several reasons, including a nonsensical plot, bad writing (inelegant, stiff, awkward - just plain bad) and fail sex scenes that made me cringe. Unfortunately, I'm only on the formatting/design side, so I can't exactly kick a manuscript back for sucking.

Again find me a post where i said "this game is better than that game", can't find it? Because I haven't.
As for screenshots, it has been pretty much confirmed TW2 succeeds, they are used to enforce a point that one doesn't understand/know about.
Again, no trolling here

You misudnerstand for proof, I meant reasoning.
If you're going to post your opinion it better be backed off and why you think it's bad other than "its this that and that" I'm expecting "its this that and that because"
See because? That's the keyword I'm looking for. So far with people I've come across no one has used that key word.

You said "valid proof or valid reason." If you strictly meant valid reasoning alone, then that was rather redundant, but feel free to call me nitpicky (I am).

I can link you to a gameplay video or a screenshot 'in-motion' if you want.
I just think you don't want to accept that people argue Witcher 2 aspects to DA2 to help better the possibility of DA3 (or DA2 if there's some fast godly devs)

And that is where you are wrong, and I have seen plenty of BUILD gamplay videos.
Game ain't gold yet.
And no, talking about TW2 in the Dragon Age 2 forums is trolling, not constructive criticism.....
And maybe those design choices you elevate may not work out in teh final gold game? Why in the hell would I want it in my Dragon Age 3 if TW2 sucks? And it may, as it is not out yet.
Got it yet?
