Considering how many endings DAII is supposed to have, I take their judgment on it with a grain of salt.
They won´t differ in anything that would affect gameplay very significantly for DA3, so don´t hold your breath in that regard.
You mean like god babies?
A good example in fact. If he becomes even a companion I will be really surprised. He is not fixed canon, so I doubt his actual impact in a branching story will be high.

unsatisfying ending? oh come on......what now? Cliffhanger? Hawke dies? Varric goes "Oh btw nothing of this may be true"?
It ends with Varric sleeping.

Gamestar has never given a note above 94 in their history.
I agree that numbers are pointless unless you know who reviewed the game and what is important to the reviewer.
Here written magazines are so bad I usually ignored the first number of the note.

bangs head on a wall...
Last time I heard this about the ending of a game it was about
"Son, you want to tell me what you are doing there?"
"Sir.......finishing this fight"

Well it's 'unsatisfying', not 'horrible'. DA:O and DA:A endings were also a bit unsatisfying to many people. I suppose DA2 is to the reviewer a bit more unsatisfying since DA:O didn't get that line, but oh well.Herr Uhl wrote...

Okay. You're disagreeing with the developers who told us that day and night versions of the same area take the same amount of resources as two different areas because that's what they are, but I'm sure you're basing this on your detailed understanding of area creation in the current DA toolset.
DavidSims wrote...
Day and night versions of each area are completely separate. The static level art is obviously pretty similar with mostly just a lighting change, but everything interactive within those areas is different unless we chose to duplicate it. Generally speaking all merchants, NPCs and quests are only in one version or the other. Not all areas have day/night versions: it's mostly major areas within Kirkwall.

Ah, that's what they're doing.
Then yes, the day and night versions are different areas altogether, with just the same name. I didn't think they'd change the interactive portions of the areas.

quote from the pc games review:
horrible translation inc
"The adventures of the main character hawke are told by the dwarf Varric during an interrogation by Cassandra, who introduces herself as a Seeker of the Chantry. She wants to know everything about the Champion of Kirkwall. The cutscenes, which combine each of the games chapters, make it obvious, that this interrogation takes place after the actual events of the game. With every scene the tension and the curiosity rises and you feverishly await the games resolution - but nada.
There is a closing cutscene, which will cause a "look at that" from people who played Origins, but anything connected to Cassandra remains completely unanswered. Of course this can be seen with a wink of the eye and a guaranteed "to be continued ..." , but we weren´t satisfied with this form of a cliffhanger."

Check the bold part, that's still much less work than designing a new one, the interactive stuff he's talking about is like merchants and the like, are as easy as using a delete button in the keyboard and then adding a different model and a quest.

I honestly don't care about copy paste as long as it there is a good story and fun to be had. Just not like the lights of arlathan scavenger hunt in Witch Hunt. That was ridiculous,HyperLimited wrote...

It's only one review that said that. Plus, even if all the review said that they don't like the ending, you can still find the ending satisfying.
