Basically, I'd like to see what everyone else thinks the respective companions' personal quests will be about. I mean, some seem pretty obvious (Sebastian's being about hunting down those responsible for his family's murder, Fenris' about helping him escape from his master and Isabela's about repaying her debt to Castion, for example). But what about the other companions, and the rest of the quests for the aforementioned companions (it's been stated the companions will have multiple quests each)?

Personally, I believe Merrill's quests will be about helping her clan in some way (getting them allies?), and Anders' are probably focus on getting back at the templars one way or another. As for Varric's (other than the expedition quest we already know), I'm not sure, but maybe we'll have to fend off an assassination attempt or two. Additionally, I keep getting the feeling that Castion won't just stop after (if) Isabela gives him back the relic (whatever it is), but might on the contrary capture her or something (cue decision time for Hawke: let the crime lord have her in return for some kind of great reward, or save her). Just a thought.

So, what do you guys think? What will the quests be about? How many will there be? What impact will or won't they have on the companions? Discuss away

Oooh, my forte, companion speculation.

• Anders - Helping him control Vengence, maybe remove him completely. I think you might get a chance to strengthen Vengence as well.
• Aveline - Maybe helping her with guard stuff. Later on, probably finding an items of Wesley's or something. Getting some hair dye to deal with her ginger? (NO offence to gingers, I'm ginger-ish myself, just very self loathing)
• Bethany/Carver - Trying to stop Leandra from being so overbearing. Bethany's main quest will have something to do with Templars or the Circle Of Magi. Carver, possibly... something else.
• Fenris - Killing his former master. You might get the chance to try and sell him back.
• Isabela - Castion and such...
• Merrill - As she is a "Dalish Pariah", I assume she'll try and get back in her clan's good books. Maybe something with that demon from her short story. And failing...miserably. (Poor Merrill.) Smaller scale quests, possibly overcoming her awkwardness and shyness.
• Varric - Don't really care. Learning how to use soap?

Bethany/Carver: Dress up as their dead twin to help ease the pain.

•  Anders: Help destabalize the chantry's influence on mages. Possibly also help with getting rid of/taming Vengeance.
• Merrill: Try to prove herself back to her clan. Maybe help her study some ancient artifacts, since she showed quite an interest in them in Origins.
• Beth/Carver: Maybe find someway to make a momento for Leandra. Maybe help Bethany take out some templars onto her, help Carver save some Templar friends he made at the bar.
• Aveline: She seems like someone who would be quite devout. Maybe help her oppose Anders in his destablizing efforts. Or with her guard duties.
• Fenris: Help him deal with his old owner trying to hunt him down and kill him. Maybe help him with hiding his lyrium markings.
• Varric: Try to help him in retrieving 'borrowed' goods to sell. Maybe something with Bertrand.

Just some guesses.

That's actually what I was thinking about when I wrote that:lol:. Spent SO MUCH TIME to get a platinum for AC 2.
