The point is not whether ME2 won the award or not, the point is that the naysayers were correct in there predictions. No one brought up whether ME2 won the award or not, so why bring it up?
The naysayers were correct of course, but ultimately they weren't proved right if you explore all the various opinion on the game as they are far more fans of nearly every genre except rpgs and fighting games. For the lesser rpg fan,ME2 came across as a far better game and that's more important than the rpg factor.
The ME team made changes and they got rewarded for it with far better reviews and a ludicrous amount of awards.
Now,I have a very hard time believing that the DA team will be rewarded with the changes in the same way.I expect lower sales, lower reviews and plenty of backlash.Interest for ME2 outside of the Bioware forum was high, but the same isn't true for DA2.Add the fact that the game does look ugly as sin and art design is vulnerable to a love/hate approach and some will find the combat to be silly beyond belief and...
I expect DA2 to earn lower reviews than the first game, compared to ME2.
