So, what do we wish to talk about now?

I'm always open to discussing Bethany and Isabela.... and stuff like that.

Oh, oh! Let's talk about in-game romances.
Then we can compare the graphics of DA2 and TW2.
And whatever happened to Morrigan? Is Hawke the OGB?
And what's with the flashy combat? I can't believe BioWare is forcing me to play a ninja!

Why stop at the relationship threads, lets delete everything and everyone! That'll clean these forums up for sure.

Now, wouldn't that be a dream come true...

Ugh, clearly this game is a hack-n-slash, this game is terrible, BioWare is terrible.

You seem to think evolution has something to do with art, social movements, and political systems. It only does in the sense that these things exist because the human brain evolved in a certain way.

You're also conflating evolution with what you perceive as progress. Evolution is adaptive but that adaptation typically comes with drawbacks as well as advantages. Take humanity's ability to walk upright. There are obvious benefits to it, but the changes in the shape of hip bones make labor both more painful and increase the chances of medical complications.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about social evolution, not biological evolution.

Domesticate - to accustom to household life or affairs

Source - the frakking DICTIONARY

The term domesticate also has a far more rigorous definition than that. There's domesticate in the sense of 'tame' and then there's domesticate in the sense of altering an animal's behavior, physiology, and/or life cycle to accustom them to human use and control.

And yes, that takes generations.

You missed my point. I has a sad. There are different meanings for the word "domesticate." A given definition doesn't invalidate the others.

Did you even read my post?

I said domesticate ALSO had a more rigorous meaning. I said domesticate meant to tame AND to alter over generations.

Please point out where I said domesticate has only one meaning or that one definition invalidates the others.

Gravy as a euphemism? Naughty. :P

Funny how that's worse than kittens mashed up into edible gravy though. (actually how does gravy get made, anyway?)

Well the 'common' gravy in America (who cares what other places call it!) is usually made from the run off juice/fat from a cooked meat.  It is then seasoned and mixed with thickening agent such as flour. Tada, gravy!

Of course most people can't make a decent from scratch gravy to save their lives.  That's what the canned stuff is for I guess.

Yes I read your post :crying: You never said any of that. The person to whom I was orignally replying did. What I was saying to you is that I'm well aware that domesticate has lots of meanings, and that was the point of my original comment. Which was not a response to anything you said.

The poster of the comment I originally replied to posted a definition to show that (and maybe I misunderstood his intent) you can't "domesticate" a wolf from birth.

If I've misunderstood anything you've said, let me know. I just don't want you misunderstanding me

Ugh.

Sir, you disgust me. I wont even try to answer your point because it would be a waste for both of us.

Ok, I've got a question.

I've never played the Witcher.  But I have read/watched a couple of reviews.

Can someone tell me if this one is accurate?

Well I played about as far into the game as Yahtzee did and I felt pretty much the same way.  I even uploaded the most relevant 30sec clip of the review here for easy access to explain why I personally did not enjoy The Witcher.  I wouldn't say it's an inherently bad game but it's not the second coming of Christ and for me not to my tastes.

No, there's no need to. I wasn't clear in my response to you; I assumed out of turn :P

Also, I really wish I hadn't capitalized dictionary. That was a hastily-made bad decision. And now it's been quoted to kingdom come, so there's nothing I can do about it

[EDIT] doo? really? wow, i need to eat more

Hm interesting... I'm wary of any recipe involving flour. Like you're supposed to just know how much flour to use from experience and intuition. And how to mix it and stuff. If I ever make pizza it's on premade crust, which tastes like cardboard.
