Guess who just hit level 60?
This girl. Awwwww yeeeaaahhh.
('Course, I only bought ME1 a year ago, so pardon me for being a bit behind.)
ANYWAY, the meat of the topic. I'm trying to get the difficulty achievements, and I'm curious as to when it starts keeping track of what difficulty you have the game set on. What if I don't swap the difficulty until five minutes into the game (before I touch down on Eden Prime)? What if I load a profile that's NOT set to the difficulty I want, but turn it back up before switching to the correct profile?
I'd just hate for 20 hours to be pointless, you know?

Make sure you put it on Insanity BEFORE you touch down on Eden Prime. After you do that, just don't change it and you'll be fine.

It's not before you touch down on Eden Prime, you have until you activate the beacon. Still it's easier to just do it as soon as you get control.

Honestly, I hit level 60 about 2 months after I got the game.
Anyway, they're right, just do it ASAP. I still haven't got the Insanity achievement though. Gonna finish up ALL my intended playthroughs first. Then, I can focus on getting that sweet, sweet N7 gamer pic.
