Auto saves do not get overwritten within the same area so there should be one that takes you back to the start of the mines, its a pain replaying all that but better than losing the best armor in the entire series to date.

But if your wearing commoner clothing your ok.
I tend to play it safe and remove my gear before starting the mine, I put on whatever I have looted up to that point that is in my pack and get my stuff back at the other end.

I feel your pain ! I had a DW rogue with both the Voice of Velvet and the Roses Thorn daggers (both maxxed out with paragon runes) lose both weapons permanately after being bushwacked by the Archtect at the Silverite Mine.Being very frustrated , and ok anal, I restarted the game to regain both weapons. Let me suggest an alternate method that worked for me. First let me state this works on PC Vista, I don't know about other systems. Save your game as a NEW save at the Mine enterance, not a QUICK save. Additionally, if you haven't disabled auto save it will quickly eat up your save slots and you will lose your Mine start point if things go fubar. With a new save you can always go back to your start point without restarting the whole game. Don't make the same mistake I did! Next load everything you don't to lose onto another character, using alternate weapon slots where possible. Anything you pile on the ally will replace what they were carrying and you will lose those. You get ambushed right at the start so don't worry having to fight barehanded. As you go along in the mission you will regain all your equipment back as you kill the experiment clones. The Mine part of the mission is extremely bugged with problems. Sometimes your PC clone doesn't even show up , or even drop your original gear if it does! The storage chest just before the two dragon thrall fight may or may not the remaining gear in your backpacks. Again bugged. The only real consistancy seems to be that your party clones ALWAYS drop the gear that your allies started with, including your gear that you stashed on them. As for your armor you'll have to use Oghren or Justice as temporary mules and tank yourself will they use the heavy chain off the Alpha Hurlock at the statue. If you really don't want to lose ANYTHING store everything at Vigils Keep then blip back to the Mine enterance and hope you don't get jumped en route. Probably the best advice I can give you is to always save your game as a NEW save everytime you enter a new major area for the first time (city, forest , marsh, whatever). Different slots obviously. This will prevent a huge amount of backtracking if things go awry.Hydrahunter wrote...
Hello everyone, sorry if this is the wrong place for the topic but I recently have run into the "Silver Mines" glitch where the experiment with your armor doesn't spawn. I did not know of this potential glitch and as a result do not have a save before entering said mines. Normally this wouldn't have been a problem except for the fact that my PC was wearing my Sentinel Armor, which as far as I know is the best DPS Warrior Set in the expansion. This is quite a problem for me, since I like the armor in general too, and I tried reloading several saves to try to get the Mob to Spawn but I only to fail each time. Recently I tried to access the Developers Console in an attempt to go back to a point before I lost the armor, or recover it, but for some reason I absolutely cannot get into it and as such have hit another wall. If I hadn't spent so long in Awakening already I would have just started the game over but at this point I really hope I don't have to if I wish to fix the problem. Do any of you have suggestions or opinions as to what I should do about this? Any and all help would be appreciated because I am very frustrated right now.
I hope this was of use to you. Best of luck!
