Hi all,
just wondering If anyone have the same problem, when Im playing DA:O, every 15min or something like this, my game auto Alt Tab me to desktop, and this is very annoying, specially in the middle of a battle. Anyone have any clue of what may be doing this. Its the first time a game is doing this to me...

This is quite odd. I assume you are playing in full screen?
What I'm going to suggest is that you have a background task running on your PC that is vying for attention ( such as an anti-virus wanting a re-start, a web page that os auto updating and gaining priority over the display, something of that nature.
I don't expect it is game related at all, but your PC taking focus away from the game for a process that has higher priority.
But I'm unsure without more info so that's a best guess.

Yup, same effect here - it's driving me crackers!
I'm running it on Windows 7 64bit - and nothing else drops to the desktop in this way.

Certain programs you run in the background can tab you out of the game because they want to give you a message or ask you for input. I would recommend shutting down any non-essential processes you have running in the background when you play the game.
Another culprit is the windows key (if you have one on your keyboard); it can be accidentally pressed or the sensor underneath get stuck so it tabs you out.

Hmmm....I played 50+ hours and never had the problem.,..now it happens frequently. I did recently upgrade to AVG 9.0, so maybe that is somehow causing it. AVG is not running when I play though.

Setting AVG 9.0 to game mode has reportedly cleared this up for some people, not sure how to do that though as I've not used 9.0

I'm having the same problems after I finally updated AVG to 9.0 yesterday, good thing there was already a thread about it
Anyone know how to set AVG 9.0 to "game mode" though? I would prefer not closing it down if I could avoid it.
Thanks in advance!

I was using AVG in the past, but they began really reducing the efficiency of the free version, which Avast hasn't done, so far, so I got rid of all AVG installs. I also occasionally run some older PCs on Win98se, and AVG doesn't support that OS, maybe not Win2000, either, which I prefer over WinXP.

Sounds like I should give Avast a try then, thanks
