Generally I aim to give everyone at least a Medical Exoskeleton X for the Healing / Cooldown Reductions. Concerning the other slot, I haven't really decided on a set strategy for what upgrade to compliment with it, as I often mix and match and there's plenty of other good choices to potentially go with.
Which squad armor upgrade combos do you like to use?

Hmm, I generally go with 2 Medical Exo's simply because they basically become Krogans, and I dont have to watch them quite as much... not too mention I love the extra power cooldowns.
Tali is about the only person I'll ever think about not giving 2 Med Exo's, and giving her the shield regeneration upgrade (cant remember what its called atm... been awhile).
Honestly the Med Exo is really overpowered if you ask me, especially if you've already given them good armor, the fact that 2 of them makes your squad tough to kill combined with great cooldowns really makes them hard to beat. Not to metion that by the time you've gotten the 2 slot armors they're usually good enough everywhere else that nothing else is as beneficial as the Med Exo's.
*shrugs* maybe there are some other decent combo's out there, I guess I just felt that none ever really compared in value.

Yep 2 medical exoskeleton's is the way to go. Health regen, poison time reduction and a very solid reduction in power use times. With 2 good medical exo's things like thresher and rachni spit become more like annoyances rather than deadly.

I would give tali one energized plating.Her cooldowns are fast enough with maxxed ai-hacking and a good omnitool.
