wat

He has a point. Compared to rap or hip-hop The Foo Fighters are like Mozart as far as "real music" goes.

The only bands I can think of that would be even vaguely fitting would be NIN or Aphex Twin. So generally, NO.

OK man read the description again!
Those are your preferred groups so your answer isnt "no", its i would rather see these dudes in the game.
I say it again for those who cant read.....The Chili Peppers & the Foos are MY favorites & you dont have to like them but what band would you like to see.

I wasn't going with my personal favourites so much as the actual music that would fit in with the game setting (on that note: Vangelis), im not a massive Aphex Twin fan, I only like him for the comedy value really...

If we end up at another club (there's been at least one in each game so far, if not two..., then it would be quite cool to see in game renders of Tool or as I said NIN, and maybe you can do some side missions or something for them, but like keeping it in the setting.

I just can't see Chillis or Foos fitting in though. Same goes for QOTSA (Queens of the Quasar LOL in game...) as much as I love them. Although Josh Homme's hard headedness would work very well as a Krogan methinks.

Let Daft Punk make their own albums, not get profit from scoring someone else's work. I want real albums from them, not soundtracks. :(

Okay, I'm trying to be serious in an oblivious thread.

As much as I like musicians I also like video game music composers and we shouldn't restrict their artistic freedom by bringing in other artists.

Brütal Legend, for example, got many soundtrack awards over other games with original scores, the game was awesome, but all the music was a collection from various rock and metal artists.

One of my favorite things is when people with limited/sheltered music tastes act like snobs.

How about we forget about all those has-beens and go with the are-nows like Shinedown, Alter Bridge, Chevelle, RED, and Breaking Benjamin just to name a few. Even though I do like Disturbed, Foo Fighters, and the Chili Peppers.

I actualy agree completely & it wont happen anyway but a bit of quiet background music somewhere in the game would be funny & wouldnt effect the story in a negative way anymore than multiplayer but there is absolutely no harm in having Dave Grohl do the voice of a C,sec officer or something & have Nate Mendel play an uninthusiastic turian soldier.HAHAHA!!!
That was a crack at Nates attitude during shows...

I suppose its hard to convey sarcasm in text.
I've experienced more than enough music to dertimine that modern hard rock is my prefered music choice and I have a extreme dislike of rap and hip-hop. Though I do not mind listening to orchestral work also ranging from classical to more modern composers. I ask you not base someones musical tastes off of one comment they make about certain bands they like nor damn their opinion of another genre only to return it with an opinion in the form of an insult.

I think something Faunts-esque for the ME3 credits is an excellent idea, having the suicide mission soundtrack again for the ME2 credits just wasn't the same.

As I said however, it needs to be Faunts-esque in that it captures the themes and setting of Mass Effect. A rock motif hardly seems fitting.

I agree man & you know i play & have more passion for the acoustic guitar & if it were not for the hatred for anything artistic in the music industry as evidenced by the comments for rap & techno in this thread i would have said some Rodrigo y Gabriela or more instrumental stuff & that would actualy be more subtle than Enough Space by the Foo Fighters playing in the background.
