That red thingy on Hawke's face...where did it go and what did or does it do?
She actually looks good now.

You can choose from 2 different default Hawkes... One with the smear, one without.

I think the more important question is....a blood stain that lasts 10 years?

I haven't been following DA2 that much, but I assumed the smear was just a pre-battle thing that Hawke does to psyche him/herself up?

Indeed.

I vote no smear, otherwise they just look dirty.  :(

Hmm with a top hat and a Beard he'ld look like a Former US president. And yeah the Hawke Ladies do look better than most of the NPC's I've seen. Bioware wants to turn us all into Hillbillies!

Lol the lady hawke actually look like he would be shemale. I would not be surprised if "she" would pee like men do.

Remember the teeth in DAO? Hygiene apparently still has a long way to go in Thedas.

:D

So as not to ruin my image of a perfect, clean Hawke, I'm going to go with his/her killing of a young child and smearing its blood across his/her face every morning instead.

Besides, even if Hawke was the most unhygenic person in the history of humanity, normal skin turnover would have removed that blood stain.

Not true. Some people just age well. Theresa Brewer looked the same at 60 as she did at 20.

This is literally impossible without plastic surgery.

Not to mention creepy. Maybe there's a picture in her attic that's not looking so spritely.

Hmm thats true, I'm convinced my Barber, Dentists and Vet all found the Fountain of Youth as they all look just like they did 30 years ago and all are around 70 close to 80 and still working. Or they are Wizards.

On a sidenote in the above cases plastic surery I highly doubt, I live in the Rural south in a poor county and most of these guys operate on IOU's, medicade, or in the barbers case $11 haircuts.

The momma can be blood mage who uses some dark blood magic rituals to suck life from her daughters to help keep herself young.

Edit: LOOOOOL, no u noob. If she would do that, she would look evil.

So, Moilami, in your DA2, female Hawke is really a bloke and her mum is a vampire. And here was me thinking the Anders storyline was a bit disturbing. Maybe Bio should hire you.

Lol vampire. I will have to think about it.

But sheman hawke is bloke, yes. I might maybe even roll "female" now because of that. I will just have to get used to the idea of doing mage-up. But maybe a rogue sheman hawke would do. Make-up would be camouflage for ninja in the night.

Edit: Ninja-Stalker.

Nah. She looks like a woman, who is wearing armor.

No. She looks like a woman who is wearing man's armour. Heaven forbid that a woman in a game wear anything feminine right? And no, that doesn't mean chainmail bikinis, as evidenced by some childish reponses previously. Feminine armour that fits a woman's body shape would be good, not a boob-less, hip-less example like in the photo.

..there is no such thing as "feminine armour". There's just armour. If it fits; you wear it. If it doesn't fit; you find another one.

This idea of "boob armour" is ridiculous, and I'm glad Bioware are going for that element of realism.

As far as I'm aware she doesn't die as she is a quest giver (or something to that effect) throughout the game.
Unless of course she dies really late in game.

Eclipse - Lordy, the footwear! And people wonder how women walk in high heels!

I keep trying to imagine my Hawke shuffling about in this. And I invariably end up in some sort of Monty Python scenario. Possibly involving becoming entangled in a shrubbery.

BioWare has created the first game where, upon seeing an image of the PC, the PC's mother, and the PC's sister, I thought, "I'd tap that."

I guess these Amell women just have great genes.

Wow I would not know who is the momma if I would not have meta information.

In other words, looks like three sisters.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw this picture. I'm sure some modder will change Mama Hawk's hair to black, matching Hawkette's colour. Then it won't be possible to say which of trio is the elder one. They are all gorgeous - but if I have to choose then Bethany is the ugly one :P

Kudos to Bioware for making them so similar!

And I agree, Mama Hawke's first name is definitly Nicole :D

I'm so going to play default Hawkette now.

As for Carver - Mama Hawke had a one night stand with a vagrant when Papa Hawke was running away from Templars. That's why in comparison with the Amell girls Carver looks like a total stranger.

Oh and Hawkett's armour is perfect!

That's not "feminine" armour. That's standard High Gothic armour.

What are you talking about. No man has that body shape. You would have a VERY hard time fitting the average male into armor like that. Feminine waist, feminine hips. You can't be serious. Compare that to male armor.

Posted Image

Look at the obvious anatomical differences. Standard armor my ass.

There is no "male" and "female" armour from that period. The Knights were men, not women. They did not make "male" and "female" versions. Just the standard one.

And the picture you just linked has quite a wide midsection, but is standing at an angle.
