I guess these Amell women just have great genes.

OMG! I don't hate that armor!!!! It's still too form fitting, but it isn't intrinsically ugly. Yay, a sliver of hope!
Edit: Calms down enough to see the fur* Oh...crap. Wtf?

Edit2: The mother looks ridiculously young. in comparison to her daughters.

There is some discussion of the armour:

Appears it is a replica of armour of Archduke Sigmund of Tyrol. Maybe.

A male armour after all, maybe.

Wow.. The Archduke must have had some girly hips then..

I have to agree with you man, the hips on that armor were tailor made for a woman's hips. Mr. Archduke must have had a laughable appearance in his armor. (The other Knights alway had a good chuckle when he rode onto the battlefield) :P

Well I wouldn't know a first thing about armor making or why they have to look the way they do. And I doubt most people here do. So it could have other reasons. Or the armorer thought he is funny if he makes the knights look like ladies.

Lol I just got a mental image of the Archduke riding on his horse looking around nervously, while his Knights are trying to stifle their laughter.

Oh, and yes, I would totally tap all three of them.

Well the good news, when you are 42 you will look like 50. Oh wait, that was the bad news.

Did you notice how she said "depending on who you ask". I take gentlemen has said "you look like sisters". Or Zevran.

Actually, if the family trend continues, my physical 'aging' will slow down and my actual age will catch up and blast ahead. When I'm 42, I'll look 30. When I'm 50 I'll look 33. When I'm 90, I'll look 60. All of this based on pictures of my mother, her sister, their mother and their grandmother. We're lucky in that regard. ^^

I'm 24 -- I've been mistaken for under-18 (embarrassingly enough by a waitress who wanted to seat me and my friend in the bar area, but looked at my friend and in front of me asked "she's over 18, right????" haha). granted mama hawke is probably in her fifties so the comparison of people looking younger than their actual age is not too ideal...

The legal drinking age here is 19 and I got carded while buying a bottle of wine last night. And I'm 31... I was actually grateful though, not embarrased. So grateful in fact, that I made the poor kid working the register blush.

Also Helen Mirren. Emma Thompson still looking pretty damn good too. I'd happily look like any of these women (including Mama Hawke) right now, despite them them all being older than me. Ahem.

Gah Helen Mirren in bikini....I'd kill to have that body!

While this is true, I was mainly talking about people like family, close friends, people not at all interested in being romantically engaged with either of us.
And I can see where they come from. I have no qualms with admitting my mother is an attractive woman. It doesn't mean that I'm attracted to her.

Well, I guess it was just the way she looked at my friend and asked my friend if I was over 18... like as if my friend was babysitting me or something haha. Otherwise, yeah I guess I am grateful that I don't look my age, but people in their twenties don't usually need to be worried about looking like their 60 or something anyway ...
Also I found it strange because for my friend's bachelorette party a year before that incident I was able to get into a strip club and a bunch of other clubs w/o being carded. lol. maybe both times it had something to do with the way i was dressed (restaurant was more casual, strip club a little more glam).

It always amuses me when people believe metal armour is made for 100% out of metal.

When Bethany was getting dressed she thought of this: "We're going into battle, I'll just wrap some light chain around my midriff. No need at all to protect my heart or lungs." :P

That's why they wore gambesons under their armor--padded cloth clothing that could be washed and absobed impact, unlike fur.
