I'll just casually drop in here that my mother is 55 and looks 35-40. I'm 21 and look 25. Depending on who you ask, we look like we *could* be sisters, given a wide gap. Powerful conservation genes exist in RL, why not in a game?

Oh, and yes, I would totally tap all three of them.

Well the good news, when you are 42 you will look like 50. Oh wait, that was the bad news.

*whispers to AlexXIV*

Did you notice how she said "depending on who you ask". I take gentlemen has said "you look like sisters". Or Zevran.

While this is true, I was mainly talking about people like family, close friends, people not at all interested in being romantically engaged with either of us.
And I can see where they come from. I have no qualms with admitting my mother is an attractive woman. It doesn't mean that I'm attracted to her.

Of course not.

I'm 24 -- I've been mistaken for under-18 (embarrassingly enough by a waitress who wanted to seat me and my friend in the bar area, but looked at my friend and in front of me asked "she's over 18, right????" haha). granted mama hawke is probably in her fifties so the comparison of people looking younger than their actual age is not too ideal...

The legal drinking age here is 19 and I got carded while buying a bottle of wine last night. And I'm 31... I was actually grateful though, not embarrased. So grateful in fact, that I made the poor kid working the register blush.

:D

Well, I guess it was just the way she looked at my friend and asked my friend if I was over 18... like as if my friend was babysitting me or something haha. Otherwise, yeah I guess I am grateful that I don't look my age, but people in their twenties don't usually need to be worried about looking like their 60 or something anyway ...
Also I found it strange because for my friend's bachelorette party a year before that incident I was able to get into a strip club and a bunch of other clubs w/o being carded. lol. maybe both times it had something to do with the way i was dressed (restaurant was more casual, strip club a little more glam).

Breaking news: Under aged (attractive) women are commonly let to enter clubs and bars and none is interested to card them.

(The funny thing being how those women think they can fool the doormen.)

Edit: Miracleous higher math explanation: hot chicks in club -> more male customers in club -> good business -> more tips.

He just wanted to know how old you are.

Edit: Wink and smile at him next time and he will take a break in toilet.

it's so unrealistic... where is lady hawke's um....boobs in that flat chested armor???

wouldn't she be uncomfortable in those plates?

they should curve the plates to house her 2 megaballoons....

The armour is fine, "she" does not have much volume in chest.

BioWare has created the first game where, upon seeing an image of the PC, the PC's mother, and the PC's sister, I thought, "I'd tap that."

I guess these Amell women just have great genes.

OMG! I don't hate that armor!!!! It's still too form fitting, but it isn't intrinsically ugly. Yay, a sliver of hope!
Edit: Calms down enough to see the fur* Oh...crap. Wtf?

But still gotta love that Bethany's armor starts below her boobs.

When Bethany was getting dressed she thought of this: "We're going into battle, I'll just wrap some light chain around my midriff. No need at all to protect my heart or lungs." :P

She's a mage-they have spells that help them avoid damage.  A mage could go into battle naked and still have as much armor/defense as anyone in the party, perhaps except for the tank.

Bethany is no less protected than many of the new companions, including Varric, Isabella, etc.  I'm guessing that they put a lot of faith in their tank.

When I'm tanking females can be naked.

Its not unrealistic. As someone already explained. Having "breast plates" would make the armor weaker than normal flat plated one. Besides wearing metal armor isnt exactly comfortable to begin with.

Well those spells didn't help when a Troll smashed her into the ground a couple times and threw her against a rock, armor seems like a good investment to me. (Although, I'm a Warrior playing character at my core, so I'd be bias on the matter. Nothing I love more than being decked out in fancifully plated mails.) :)

lol. you have a good point there. probably didnt realize that  because when i was actually underage, i never tried to get into clubs. im not one for that scene, only went cause it was my friends bacheloretty party. id rather go to a plain old pub or pool hall.
anyway enough off topic.

This thread is brilliant. And yes, as a straight woman I'm finding myself becoming confused. So far, almost all the people I quite fancy in this game are female. Two of them are relatives, one is me, two are old women - of these two old women, one is an (alleged) infanticidal shapechanger and the other's my mum. There are only two fellas in this that I actually 'would' - a possessed psychotic cannibal and a hairy dwarf.

I need to go away and rethink my life.

Agreed. :pinched: This darn game is making me question alot of things..

I was also carded  , i'm 31 and a man . But i sported a baseball  nike cap , a  black addidas hoodies and was clean shaved .. I was also rather energetic that day and happy.. He asked for my ID but since i'm french i did not understand the ID part.Plus i was really not expecting to get carded .. So i was like .. .What the hell are you asking me? The guy was a chinese so i though he was talking in chinese to me ..

He kept asking me for my ID?? ID ?? ID???ID???ID??

And i was like
-Look man i just want to cig pack .. give it to me already.. ( I haven't smoked for 3 month though :D)
So he started yelling and that woman come at the register and ask me for my ID(In french)

Hmm i was like ... Okay but ...So i give it to her and she look at me with that expression in her face and she look at the chinese guy and both of them look stupid ...

I took my CIG pack and stormed outside to my car .. Inside my car i took a look in the mirror and i was like ... geez might be that zit that popped ..

;p

Wonder what Mother Hawke's secret is. If she is 50 years old, I'd still hit it. No wrinkles or anything!
