I was looking through the top 100 and a majority were garbage like that.

I'm all for good mods, but not for having to trudge through the **** that is nexus to find the gems. There are great modders there, but there are also really bad mods that are in the top 100 because of popularity of the fanbase and them doing the same thing to the popular games with a modding tool since morrowind.

Then just play the vanilla game if it's too much of a chore for you to sift through mods to find the ones you like?

I'm not saying it's a chore, I'm saying they shouldn't be made in the first place. Find a different use of your time instead of putting dicks on ogres and other modifications that serve only as sexual eye candy instead of improvements.

Think of it this way. Say you like modding a lot. Say you wanna get money for doing mods. You apply to a job, and show up with your portfolio full of dick mods and such. Do you really think you're going to get hired? hahahaha

Give me a break, I just looked at the top 100 list at http://www.dragonage...top/alltime.php and still didn't notice the perverted things you're talking about.

Hate to say that (not really) but the mod discussion is off topic.

Well, I don't personally do mods myself but if I were to guess, I'd say that there may be people who don't give a sh*t about working as a professional programmer or modder and just do it for the lulz.

Those types of people probably don't give a crap that some moralising whiner think that mods should only be done in a way acceptable to him?

Read my post on the end of the last page, I mentioned that.

edit: yes, moralizing whiner. That doesn't discount anything I mentioned.

Certainly not. I was merely speculating on the reasoning behind modders releasing the things they do.

So...you actually want boob shapes in your armor?

Always hated that about games / movies etc.... fundamental rule of armor (and hell, physics)... creases are a weak-point. The fewer creases armor has (be it human-worn or fitted to a modern tank), the greater its ablative / deflective capabilities are.

Mass Effect 2 had this problem (ME1 as well) for femshep... her armor was molded around her breasts.. which is absurd... that makes it structurally weaker than a sheeted chest plate like men wear (yes I know its a game... but its still insanely weird as hell to look at if you've taken even highschool physics and understood it to some degree)... to ME2's credit they made DLC armor called Kestrel armor... the chest plate for femshep was not a mold over her breasts, and was instead a proper sheeted chest plate... it looked like proper armor.

Dragon Age Origins was good in this regard with some of the armors (certain chainmails / scale mails) were fitted properly over the breasts rather than moulded around them... some though weren't.

Nice to see the heavy armor in DA2 is at least offering some believability in appearance for a femhawke.

This. All of it.

If the employer were to look up the mod and saw that it was good quality modeling and/or animation, then yes. That person could still get hired.
(Not talking about any specific mods - especially since the only sex-related mod I downloaded for DA:O was the 70's porn music one - just a theoretical situation.)

To me this is funny because 'lul' is Dutch for 'c*ck'.

Your second list does not include everything from your first list. I've used the site to download hair and skin tone mods everytime I installed DAO and was never exposed to the mods you first talked about.
So you must have gone out of your way to find the most perverted thing to complain about. Then you criticize people for seeking them out. It makes no sense.

Look, I said I was looking at the top 25 of the last two weeks. Then I admitted that the top 100 of all time, had less of those, but still had most of those.

They were picked as examples to further my point. I shouldn't have to reiterate this.

What people are saying is don't judge the whole modding community based on those mods.

There are some exceptional mods out there that deserve recognition and not to be lumped in with the ones you don't like.

And how do you even find out about these mods without searching for them? [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/pouty.png[/smilie]
I think most of us use that site to download the hair and armor mods not search for that crap...

Lets look at some choice pics from the top 100, which should be an easy way to see the "best" mods:

#1: natural naked bodies. While having a better modeled and perhaps higher polygon character is ideal, it leads us to:
#8: Better Sex Cutscenes. Really? I don't mind you wanting to improve something, but do you really need something pornographic in a videogame? Google that crap instead.
#9 zevran romance scenes
#12: sexy mage armor
#13: male nude and underwear
#14: more options at the pearl (a brothel)

That's based on last two weeks popularity. It's a little bit less looking at "all time" ratings, but still, really? totally unnessessary.

You do realize this game is geared for 18 years old up don't you?

I personally do not use the majority of the mods you mentioned but I am NOT going to judge people who do.

People have the right to play the game how they want to play. Its that simple.

I'm not. I'm judging Nexus for allowing them.

edit: I'm not trolling whatsoever.
I'm not doing it for the attention either.

You act like you're the shining beacon of reason among a sea of bioware fanboys by criticizing every single thing about DA2 and other peoples opinions about it. Every discussion about anything with you turn into a long pointless argument.
