I wonder if creating a custom Hawke would make things "laughable". That is, the default Lady Hawke looks JUST right for her family members in that picture; if she was a custom character with some unusual facial features, I assume it wouldn't fit as nicely.

Have you noticed that the three female have the same nose (not sure of Hawke, sure about Beth and Mama Hawke). I really want to find a Carver/male hawke screenshot to find if they ahve the same nose.

I feel sorry for Carver growing up with those three his entire life. No wonder he's somewhat of emasculated whiner with a grudge. I still you brother.

I am incapable of seeing those characters sexually. Putting aside that they are not real and thus not actually related to me in any way, I still find it difficult to think of my in-game parent and sibling that way.



I will recognize that Leandra is attractive. LadyHawke is somewhere in the middle. Bethany is solidly at third. The photo conveniently arranges them.

It's true, but note he said preset. You select a preset for your Hawke and the family's resemblance will change along with it, but once you start making alterations to your Hawke from a preset, those changes won't carry over to the family if I understand it correctly. Does that make sense?

So mean. I honestly wish I could keep Carver with my rogue. He's the biggest reason that makes me want to play a mage actually... Not because he's handsome but because of the brother/sister dynamic.

This thread is brilliant. And yes, as a straight woman I'm finding myself becoming confused. So far, almost all the people I quite fancy in this game are female. Two of them are relatives, one is me, two are old women - of these two old women, one is an (alleged) infanticidal shapechanger and the other's my mum. There are only two fellas in this that I actually 'would' - a possessed psychotic cannibal and a hairy dwarf.



I need to go away and rethink my life.

I could have sworn they mentioned that their appearances depended on a couple of other things than the preset (Can't remember where, not curious enough to go looking). I think they said that it also depended on the skin-tone, at least... so you could pick a 'white' preset, darken the skin to whatever you wanted, and they'd match that, as well as the preset features. Hope so, otherwise anyone who wants a given skin-tone with their family matching would need a preset that had the tone they want... given how much simpler changing the skin tone has to be compared to making face shapes look related, I have to assume they covered that one; even Fallout 3 managed that... and I refuse to believe Bethesda is smarter than Bioware.
