So...you actually want boob shapes in your armor?
Always hated that about games / movies etc.... fundamental rule of armor (and hell, physics)... creases are a weak-point. The fewer creases armor has (be it human-worn or fitted to a modern tank), the greater its ablative / deflective capabilities are.
Mass Effect 2 had this problem (ME1 as well) for femshep... her armor was molded around her breasts.. which is absurd... that makes it structurally weaker than a sheeted chest plate like men wear (yes I know its a game... but its still insanely weird as hell to look at if you've taken even highschool physics and understood it to some degree)... to ME2's credit they made DLC armor called Kestrel armor... the chest plate for femshep was not a mold over her breasts, and was instead a proper sheeted chest plate... it looked like proper armor.
Dragon Age Origins was good in this regard with some of the armors (certain chainmails / scale mails) were fitted properly over the breasts rather than moulded around them... some though weren't.
Nice to see the heavy armor in DA2 is at least offering some believability in appearance for a femhawke.

Anyways, I like the armor. It fits similar to a flak vest of today. Having actually worn one, I can say from personal experience that there's nothing unconfortable about it, and I think you're greatly over exaggerating "boob squishness".
Not that any of that matters. It's about aesthetics and Bioware choose a route I rather like from what I've seen this time around. DA:O is a game I almost couldn't play without modded armor/clothes.

I don't know why people are afraid to admit that someone is good looking regardless of their gender or familial connection.

I actually think momahawke's the most attractive of the three in that shot ... great, now it turns out the two most attractive women in the game are your family members - I think Bioware did that just to mock us.
I agree with this, but the rest of the post is pending as we haven't seen all other females.

Feminine armour that fits a woman's body shape would be good, not a boob-less, hip-less example like in the photo.
Yes, because as we all know, "feminine" is a clear-cut definition which has remained unchanged since time immemorial.
Boobs and hips is all there is.
Right?
I don't think I've ever seen an actual medieval armour suit that was made to be worn soley by a woman either... since the damn things are usually passed on when the owner snuffs it, something fairly unisex is fine. Besides, I don't think your average armoursmith (outside of gear for royalty) gave a monkeys - if it fitted you and kept you alive, job done. If BioWare are going for realism, I can't really fault this. Otherwise we do end up in steel bustier territory...
Plus to keep your bust recognisable under the God-knows-how-many-pounds of padding, chain and then plate... your boobs would have to be made of concrete!

I think it's a amusing that the one woman who might possibly have boobs filled with concrete doesn't actually seem to wear any armor. I think most would agree that those boobs aren't natural, at the very least.

..there is no such thing as "feminine armour". There's just armour. If it fits; you wear it. If it doesn't fit; you find another one.
This idea of "boob armour" is ridiculous, and I'm glad Bioware are going for that element of realism.

Yeah, I wonder who does those in Thedas. D'you suppose there are Circle mages with a sideline in cosmetic magic, or would you have to go to an apostate? Or maybe there's a sect that just does Boob Magic.
Btw, gibberish, those pics of Spartacus are rather nice. This thread has a lot of hot in it (handsome Squidward notwithstanding).

Y'know, while I agree with you, I don't like how Leandra looks the same age as her two daughters. She looks like she's just wearing a grayish wig. I wish they'd aged her face a bit, because honestly I think default male Hawke looks older than her, and that's weird. Hell, even Alistair looks older than her, facially.
I see her as older than all of them.

She has no wrinkles, skin sagging, or even changes in fat distribution in the face that occur when you age. All of which occur slowly over time, even in your 20s and 30s. I'm not saying she needs to look ancient, but she'd need to have had plastic surgery to look that young at an advanced enough age to show gray in her hair, unless she had kids really young and went gray prematurely.

Probably that's also a reason why Morrigan could bear the weather in her outfit and as well as Bethany....all is in the magic and the correct spell and I thank them for that!!!
At least I liked how Leliana looked with the dalish armor to show some belly button and once put the duster armor on Morrigan and she looked also great with the boob armor chest fitted. I just think this time around they are making it more generalized or they might also make different styles for men and women.
Also what I do like is that Bethany and MamaHawke like to show some shoulder

Thing about Boob Magic, though, is that it only works properly if the ladies are wearing clothes, however skimpy. If they're about to get them some naked time, the magic wibbles a bit and you know what happens when magic wibbles? Beige underwear.
