Posted Image I wasn't a blood mage in DA:O so I am definately having a go in DA2, I was just wondering do you think it will really change the story, or how your legend/character is represented??

...and those mage finishes are going to look awesome I reckon Posted Image

OOH now if being blood mage is an option, anyone know if it is for sure? saw a femhawk screenshot on pcgamer showing blood magic on the demo skill list but on the demo there is none... unlocked thing later?, would be cool if they ACKNOWLEDGED YA as such rather than like on DAO where they didnt flinch an eyebrow

We've known for a while now that the mage specs are Blood Mage, Spirit Healer, and Force Mage.
And chances are being a blood mage will only open up a few dialogue options like it did in Origins... If at all... Though that's assuming the worst, so it might actually affect the story profoundly on the positive side.

I do hope they take it into account this time, we'll be in a town full of templars after all - so they should be able to identify it from "regular" magic.

Hopefully.

Hawke: I want to help the Chantry.

Templar: You're a blood mage!

Hawke: How would you know that?

Templar: We just saw you use it on that bandit!

I'd like to see conflicts similar to this:

It'd be cool if it created some tension between Hawke and other party members.

We saw at least a glimmer of it being included in the story in Awakening when you can mention to Anders that he is one, so I hope that someone would say something in DA2, especially since mages appear to be a big part of the conflict.

I always hated that you could make Wynne a blood mage. I never did, and it always bothered me that my friend makes her one. D:

It will probably just be a minor reaction for example:

Hawke: Hey Merril I'm a blood mage.

Merril:Gross.

*Continuing adventure*

I hope it's more than just that though.

First post BTW guys.

i kinda hope so. i plan to play as a blood mage in one playthro. I'm also wondering how anders would react to it if he does? I'm pretty sure he doesn't like it. and other companions.
