Anathemic, why do you always repeat same rhetoric over & over, I honestly believe you troll, behind a facade, just to rile folks, it's always same thing over & over.

If you dislike something, stop being around it, it's really simple.  Coming in & pissing in everyone's cereal, isn't exactly the thing to do.

Yet you continue this, The Witcher this, The Witcher that, if you really love the The Witcher so much, please hang out on thier forums & coddle it till the cows come home, personally I enjoy both game series(amongst others), I could care less about the Graphics, do I enjoy great graphics, yes who doesn't.  But to come here & hammer your opinion on our faces 24-7, shows any lack of consideration on your part. I personally do not mind the graphics for Dragon Age, they choose thier style, The Witcher desingers have chosen thiers.  Deal with it, if you can't, leave "your" opinion on the matter to yourself, instead of feeling the need to slap folks in the face with it.

You can say this or that, saying your being personally attacked, but let's be honest, you go out of your way to antagonize people, behind a facade of oh I am just saying...

How does this help in any sense? We understand your thoughts on the matter, to constantly feel the need to ram your thought & ideals down our gullets, does tend to get bothersome after a bit, perhaps you should get off your internet podium for a bit, It may help you rethink your thoughts on the matter, less of course this your way to troll & your personal love to annoy folks.  Either way, do us a favor, vanish for a week, I am sure folks would like a reprieve for a bit.

Dosen't matter what Blizzard is capable of, their track record shows a distinct disinterest in creating games on the visual level of Crysis 2, The Witcher 2 and Skyrim. This has worked well for them, for reasons I've already stated. No, I'm simply stating next-gen will be upon us, and every dev company who wants to compete needs to step it up.

Allow me to present a list of games that lack 'Next-Gen' graphics, but were still succesful, in some cases wildly so.

This isn't a full list, otherwise we'd be here a while.

Starcraft 2
World of Warcraft
Borderlands
Limbo
No more Heroes 1&2
Dragon Age: Origins
Dawn of War 2
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
The World Ends With You
A boy and his blob (with extra points being granted for the hug button)
Persona 4
etc.

Now I'm going to stop here for now and sleep. If you post anything that I feel requires a response it will be done so tomorrow.

StarCraft 2 has still 2 more games to go in it's trilogy and graphics will probably be updated over time as we've seen in World of Warcraft



This is jsut 1 of 3, StarCraft 2 is going to reach the next-gen.

World of Warcraft? Again patches, if you compare vanilla WoW to Cataclysm WoW you will see the vast differences in quality. And again, WoW will be replaced by Blizzard's next-gen MMORPG in the future, so I hardly see how this relevant.

For the rest of the games I've no comment for I've never even heard of them except for Kingdom Hearts, but that's not even a real sequel. And as for DA:O, that's been discussed to death already.

DA2 is not fine in terms of graphical appeal, it's barely hanging on.

That is your opinion. Some of us like the total package when it come to a game and not just graphics.

Lol I love how assume how Blizzard fans work. Transition from WC3 to WoW? Around 70%+ the people transferred in a matter of months to a year. Transition from SC to SC2? Find me a Korean who has StarCraft 2 still playing StarCraft 1. Future transition from Diablo 2 to Diablo 3? Look up diablofans.com

Now of course they all wont /quit, but it's pretty logical a good portion of fanbase will switch over to the next thing in terms with Blizzard games.

It's fact, DA2 is not fine in terms of graphical appeal (IE graphics) when compared to other games.

No Bioware does not need to "step it up" to compete because if the games are good people will buy them regardless of the graphical output. Every single game ever made does not need to look like photo realism. Bioware prides itself on making games that DONT look like every other dime a dozen game thats flooding the market. In regards to TOR even more so...they could have easily made it look like photo realism but they said "as good as all those games look....they all kinda look the same..."Which they do...which is why I wonder why this bothers you. I would think you wouldn't want all the games to look like Crysis because if it wasn't for the title of the game you would never know wtf you were looking at.

I don't care if BioWare wants to make games look photo-realism. I care that BioWare needs to enter the next-gen in terms of graphics. As far as I can tell Diablo 3 isn't photo-realistic but's its pretty doing damn well in graphics. If it won't reach next-gen it will later as patches come along or at the very least be the stepping stone of Blizzar dentering the next-gen.

To be fair WC3 -> WoW was not the same as the other transitions that you mentioned. I knew plenty of people who continued to play WC3 while playing WoW. Also considering the eSport community that played DotA for so long, WC3 didn't die for a long time.

I do completely agree with you though, when Blizzard releases that next MMO people will transition very fast, but Blizzard will still support WoW.


I also want to point out with all the game engine name dropping no one mentioned id Tech 5 <_<

As for regergitating my posts. My posts are similar because that's what basically every argument revolves around. I argue the graphical superiority of Witcher 2. People want to attack Witcher 1 in gameplay, not Witcher 2 in gameplay. Now that's pretty stupid in attack Witcher 1 in gamepaly because Witcher 1 wasn't successful because of gameplay but because of its literary content. So when argument resorts to fanboys attacking Witcher 1 in gameplay, they already lost.

If the word "fanboy" is really the only insult in your vocabulary perhaps you should withdraw to contemplate your case. Because from my experience those who have little variety in their statements tend to lack a strong case.

Your not argueing anything...your just repeatedly saying "Bioware graphics suck and should change"...that is not argueing that is just repeatedly insulting a developers graphical choice. No one is saying DA2 looks better then Witcher or Skyrim or Crysis...because it don't. So why are continueing to perpechuate an argument that does not exsist? Bioware built this grapics engine specifically for the Dragon Age franchise so the odds of it changeing is little. So if you are going to continue this insesent dribble about graphics determing the future of video game sales be my guest because thats basiclly what you have turned this into. "there graphics are suckzor which means no one will play their games". Which is honestly the most outrageous statement I've probably ever heard from another sentient lifeform.

What I always do, ignore when it's blatant baiting, which irritatingly enough is what both sides of this argument have been doing, it's fouled up the thread, I would like to have discussed the graphics, places where improvements could be made, NOT  "X game is better than Y game blah blah blah"

What I always do, ignore when it's blatant baiting, which irritatingly enough is what both sides of this argument have been doing, it's fouled up the thread, I would like to have discussed the graphics, places where improvements could be made, NOT  "X game is better than Y game blah blah blah"

Improvements?...hmm...thats hard for me to say...because I don't really pay attention to graphics when I play video games. I'm too interested in whats going on in the game's story to care if a rock in the background as enough jaged cracks on it lol.

Your not argueing anything...your just repeatedly saying "Bioware graphics suck and should change"...that is not argueing that is just repeatedly insulting a developers graphical choice. No one is saying DA2 looks better then Witcher or Skyrim or Crysis...because it don't. So why are continueing to perpechuate an argument that does not exsist? Bioware built this grapics engine specifically for the Dragon Age franchise so the odds of it changeing is little. So if you are going to continue this insesent dribble about graphics determing the future of video game sales be my guest because thats basiclly what you have turned this into. "there graphics are suckzor which means no one will play their games". Which is honestly the most outrageous statement I've probably ever heard from another sentient lifeform.

This thread's purpose is to discuss is BioWare needs a graphical change. I'm on the yes side, I support my argument with other games who are confirmed to have done a graphical change.

If fanboys isn't getting the the message through how about 'ignorant entity' because so far you and plenty of other 'ignorant entities' are not being productive here at all.

Seriously, I'm staying on topic on discussing the graphical change if BioWare needs and about 80% of the posts going against me are repeating the same rhetoric of "lol you be troll" or "stop it, ur argument make no sense, it   repeats, why it repeats, I dunno stop it, STOP IT!"

So how about you stop getting off the ad hominem and either A. attack the context of the argument to make this thread more productive or B. get the hell out of this thread because you ain't adding to it.

What's the purpose of this thread? Oh right graphics. In a thread dealing with graphics I could care less about the actual content because we are discussing graphics. If you made a gameplay/content thread I'll argue in that concerning gameplay/content but not in a graphics thread.
