I'd take Neural Shock - very short cooldown, large AoE once evolved

In addition, a biotic power on a tech class (and vice versa) is just wrong IMHO.

^ does neural shock still work even if the enemy has shields/armor/barrier?

No, it does not. If the enemy still has defenses up, Neural Shock will stagger them. As for which one to use, I would pick Neural Shock and evolve it into Neural Shockwave. Incredible CC with a very short cooldown.

Armor-Piercing Ammo, since Infiltrators do not get Incendiary Ammo. If you want to avoid an ammo power, I'd suggest Energy Drain to use against shields when you don't want to waste ammo.

But out of those two, I'd go with Neural Shock, simply because it is a Tech Power and thus breaks verisimilitude less for me.

Depends on what you want your infiltrator to be doing. Neural Shock is a fine choice in general.

But if you're at all serious about sniping with the Widow, I recommend Warp Ammo. Your shot will only get a bonus from ammo if you're using a type that affects the top layer of protection, even if it goes through to the second layer and it "should" work on that. Say you shoot an enemy with 100 barriers and 100 armor using AP Ammo. Even if you do more than 100 damage, your shot will NOT be doing bonus damage to armor. Between Warp and Disruptor Ammo, you have something for every type of enemy.

If you're going for CQC or just prefer to use another sniper rifle like the Viper instead, you don't really need Warp Ammo.
