I am irritated. I can not play Dragon Age now that I have Windows 7.

I get dlc unauthorized issues. I just want to play the game, not jump through hurdles troubleshooting this problem.

Seriously, I am now a hater of DLC. I bought the stuff and cant use it.
I guess I have to never play Dragon Age again, and just wait for Dragon Age 2.

So will DLC work with Win 7 in DA2?

My confidence level is very low

Dragon Age works fine in Windows 7 for me, I suspect it's more to do with not using the OS the game was originally installed under. check you copied the BioWare folder from your previous OS's My Documents folder into your new one and try running the repair option from DA:O's config tool

I've used Dragon Age on Windows 7 exclusively since first starting the game last July. Works great.

When in game, hit control, shift and escape at the same time. In the task manager that opens, go to the services tab. Find DaUpdatersvc, rightclick it, and leftclick "start service".

If it says something about permissions click on the services button in the bottom right (services.msc) and find the Dragon Age update service from there.

Great advice.  BTW, if it works, keep in mind that you only have to authorize the DLC once.  Once everything is authorized, log out of the EA servers and disable the auto-login.  The only downside is that it no longer syncs your player profile with the website.  But that way you won't have to restart the updater servce each time.

I think it was screwed up because I upgraded to Win 7 from Vista.

Works fine now after a reinstall od DA.
