As release nears and early reviews begin, I believe the time has come for the traditional calm before that storm that comes before any RPG release. Spoilers are already cropping up, so I think I'll be taking my leave before they get out of hand, and won't be back until I've completed the game.
Anyone else planning to start their DA2 information "fast"?

After tuesday when the demo comes out I'll be taking my break until after DA2 comes out and i've completed it, I heard about bad stuff that happened when the character creator came out for DA:O and all these spoilers came up so I'm not taking any chances

Ehm, well. I often spend more and more time during release dates. Possibly because I am just anxious to get the game. I've gone out of the way to avoid demo discussions and such thus far though.

I knew for sure that I would take a break from the forums after March 8th as my copy won't arrive until March 11th and I want to do one full run through without having anything spoiled by people who have already played it.

I'll try to stay away from the forums after I get my hands on the demo. Just downloaded Jade Empire: Special Edition through Steam, so between the DA2 demo and Jade Empire I should be able to at least kill a week or so... Then it's only like two weeks or so until I get the actual game.

Doesn't always work sadly, as people will spoil things without spoiler tags. They'll also put the spoiler as the thread title. I've seen it happen before. Particulary regarding who the serial killer was in Heavy Rain.
Main reason to stay away though is the 'possibility' (i think it's a fact but I'll give the benefit of the doubt) that the forum will be ten times worse than it is now upon release.
Edit: I'm not sure I'll be staying away anyway up until release, but I'll definitely try to minimise time here at the full game's release. I'm in a bit of a pickle though because I'll be writing some guides for the game and well, I'll want people to look at them.

Depending on whether or not the demo can be used to extract more spoilers than intended, either Tuesday or the 7th. I'm hoping for the latter, because I have literally no self-restraint and a few days is far easier than a fortnight.

I plan to leave the forums alone after the demo comes out as well. But I'll probably break after a week and peek in just to see if there's a new dev diary, companion video or something like that.
But I definitely won't touch the forums after DA2 comes out on march 8. I really don't want to see any spoilers. I'll come back after I finish the game to see if I missed anything interesting (I had no clue you could harden Alistair until I saw it mentioned on the forums for example)

I just dont want all the trolling ruining my good time. I cant reach through the computer and slap these idiots, so its best I stay away from it altogether.

Pretty much this ^ for me. Except replace "slap" with "punch in the mouth".
