What's worse is that the crossbow for Varric is so freakin' amazing. He also SHOOTS the bombs whereas Rogue-Hawke with a bow throws them as a grenade.

Just because there wasn't any crossbows at the start doesn't mean there won't be any later in the game. Think positive everyone!

Well After Playing the Demo, i'm really looking forward to Archery. I'd be even more if they Confirmed that Hawke can use Crossbows.

Well hang on though: we know we can upgrade companion weapons. Does that mean Varric will never see weapon upgrades? Does Bianca just auto-level like the companion armor does with the time jumps? Or are we going to find crossbows littered across the world, but they'll be limited to "Varric only"?

I'm pretty sure it auto levels. If they Put Crossbows in the Game only to find out that Varric is the only one that can use them, i might cry.

I sure hope not. I loved using Varric in the demo, but if the crossbows end up being "Varric only" I will never look at him again. I will skip every cutscene that involes him. Which I bet will be a lot.

I did notice in the Demo that Bianca had a Crossbow sign in the Inventory, They could have easily put a Bow there instead so i hope this Means that We will get Crossbows useable by Hawke.

Actually I think the only weapon Varric can use is Bianca.



But us Archer Rogues better have access to some crossbows.

If we Don't Get Crossbows i might Not even bother with Rogue.

I probably still will, for the dual-wielding, but I won't use archery, and my rival score with Varric will be... sizeable.

But it'd be nice to have them featured and usable by Hawke in game.
