Many times you claimed that there would be a Blood and Gore filter.   All you've added is some worthless thing that removes the gore AFTER the combat, nothing that disables it during.

I want a TRUE COMPLETE blood and gore filter in a future patch or I want my money back for this excessively gory and disgusting combat.

You people are sick you know that?  What sort of demented people get off on hacking people up IN THAT MUCH DETAIL?  It shows that what you lack in creativity you need to market to the baser audience around here.

Because there would be no blood in brutal melee combat, right?

You can use the No Blood part of this mod to disable all blood and gore in the game:

Rated M for Mature

Not M for some and T for others...

Chill out, take the bible or whatever thats driving your overzealous sense of morals out of your behind and remember that we knew this game was going to be bloody...BLOOD AND GUTS = BAD! Slavery, Rape, Prostitution (it's implied, you just need to talk to the right people), Mass Genocide, Cutting living beings into bits = A OK!

Is it just me or are there a lot of complaints about the gore and blood? I'm just wondering why? If it for the kids? Because it's rated M, which means NOT FOR KIDS.

Cable and Broadcast television has worse violence.

Holy **** are you slow in the head? This is a dark fantasy RPG and the blood and gore make the combat visually apealing not to mention realistic....if you dont want to visually see  and interact a story out then why did you buy the video game? You could of picked up the Dragon Age books for what your wanting correct?Have a good day.

Combat is funny like that. There tends to be blood involved.

Oh and.. blood is SO unnatural! It is only right to be disgusted at seeing blood. Gahh! Blood! Thank god we don't have a lot of that stuff inside of us!

I think people that want their money back because a game has too much blood dont need to be playing video games to begin with. Try volunteering at your local church, youll get way more satisfaction out of it.

Thank you for this :) I'll be using the mod linked to above for sure - when I get the game. I'll use the version of the mod that tones it down to a level that's more realistic i.e. not the blood-spurting and the blood-gushing out of the people in Ferelden when swords are poked in their NPCs pixelated selves. Maybe, this is done for comical effect? I really don't know why else Bioware would be doing this?

I do know that blood etc. is very important in the game...however people both in games and in real life aren't vessels filled with blood waiting to pour out - unless you hit a main vene or arterie.

I don't much like too much blood and gore myself; hence my use of the mod (when I get the game).

because it looks f*cking awesome. They made the blood gush and fountain for the same reason that they made the weapons and armor so big and the spells so flashy.

Because it's not nearly as gorey as you claim it to be. At least I certainly haven't noticed it to be anymore over the top then other RPGs. I mean, this game has nothing when it comes to gore compared to Gears of War 2. If people want something to complain about look at those games...

DA:O is fine. This is a troll. Anyone who really does complain about the gore and finds it "sickening" was raised to believe going outside is evil.

You want the short answer? Blood sells. Those who claim that its in-game use is in any way realistic know nothing about real-life violence and wound types.

Is this a troll? Are you serious? This game is about killing countless of people and monsters, has all sorts of skewed dialogue and whatnot, and you're complaining about the gore level?

Go play Hello Kitty Fantasy island or something.

Is there more gore in the PC version? I have the PS3 version and I haven't really seen anything I would call gore. When I think gory I think more about God of War. Too me some blood splash isn't really gore.

After 30+ hours played time I've seen two decapitations and maybe one or two limbs chopped off here and there. It's not God of War by any means. Either I'm blind or everyone is exaggerating because the gore honestly doesn't seem that bad.

I agree, I am not sure what Bioware was thinking when they added in all that blood and fighting and weapons, and homosexual relationships and stuff.

What ever happen to pillow fights?

Is there any problem a good pillow fight won't solve?

Only if the pillow fight is with 2 or more women, naked preferred, half naked acceptable.

*Thinks back to the one time he read through the bible* Are you sure you've read the book? Cause there's as much gratuitous violence in the bible as in your average Tarantino flick.

Have you ever seen anyone get chopped up with a sword? I'm not saying it to be condescending btw, genuinely interested! What you said made me think: first I disagreed with your saying it was unrealised, but then I realised I've never seen anyone get hacked to pieces... I know we have knives on the streets and stuff, but I doubt you can compare sword and knife injuries? And it not as if people carry round swords anymore!

You are only allowed to pillow fight with Sten and Shale, but yes, they will both be nude.
