I notice most upgrades follow a "x/5" progression as you acquire them, with the third upgrade being "3/5" and such, then after the 5th upgrade, it simply says "6/6" or "7/7." Do upgrades past the 5th one in a line stack with the first 5 upgrades and continue to benefit you? I assumed that they do, but I noticed that after acquiring my 6th HW ammo upgrade, I still acquired 100 creds instead of more ammo when tapping power cells afterward.

If you want to see for sure that Heavy Weapon Ammo upgrades beyond the fifth affect you, get the sixth upgrade and the non-Kestrel armor piece that gives bonus heavy weapon ammo. Fire Cain twice against an enemy for overkill.
