A simple backpack costing more gold to purchase than a brilliant-cut diamond.

Must have been Gucci.

Visual effects, meaning all those floating dots around characters when using certain skills, rock armor, rally sound etc. I have a migreine, and this time I have no mods to use to remove unwanted effects.

To be fair, you could fit, like, 50 different weapons and suits of armour into those backpacks, along with poultices, crafting items and a crapload of other stuff. And despite how heavy that all that stuff must have been, it never impeded your movement or weighed you down.

You weren't buying a backpack. You were buying an invisible leather TARDIS.

On subsequent playthroughs of DAO, I dread the wave after wave of Darkspawn during the final battle in Denerim. I am hoping that there is less filler combat.

This. No one shot lamers.

That fight is even worse when load lagging, I would kill a wave, then have to wait like one minute for the next to come instead of it being constant (which would have been marginally better).

The whole final battle was rather...off. The archdemon fight was alright, but the battle leading up to it was glitchy as hell. Sandal's random appearance almost made up for it.

I'll also toss in mage hats. I don't know what the hell they were thinking. I would actually not wear them usually because they looked so ridiculous and take the stat hit over a cosmetic thing.

And the last of which they seem to have fixed - the shuffling combat movement and slouched over characters. <_<

Ahh, glitching? On my PS3 it never glitched, maybe your computer just isnt powerful enough.

EDIT: Your profile says you play on xbox, well thats just wierd, for me it never glitched or had long lag load times.

Axes. Axes should be at least as viable as swords, doing much more damage while being slower. The best one handed axes in DA:O were handily beaten by the least long swords (snip)

'scuse me if I'm wrong, but if I remember correctly, The Veshaille axe was the best 1-handed weapon in the game save Star****.

I do agree though that axes should be more viable simply by adding more good axes rather than simple ones. And 2-handers of course.

Other points I agree big with is mage cowls, combat shuffling, and having to break up ninja romances. I mean.. wth.. if I wanna ninja-bed Zevran while my main interest is Alistair, I don't want either of them come to me ****ing about it. Sheesh.

This so much. As well as boss fights that are more annoying and luck-based than they are challenging (cough Harvester cough).

No offense but i thought the harvester was a pretty easy boss fight i dont know the difference maybe because i was on normal i think ill find out on my current playthrough though which still may not be a good way to check since im an arcane warrior but im on nightmare.  :bandit:

Well on Nightmare it's either get lucky skeleton spawns or you're screwed which isn't challenging or fun at all. It was a simple strategy but required you to do it over and over and over again until it worked.

Another thing I hope DA2 doesn't have is the "third option" in almost every situation. We should have that option less often with extra effort on the part of Hawke and even still it should not be the perfect answer to the problem. For example, leaving Redcliffe to the mercy of a demon while you went to the Circle for help should have had some consequences.

Bah, each backpack could only carry an extra 10 (non-stack) items! ;)

Really, my beef isn't that we have *limited* carrying capacity, just that a bloody backpack costs so much. ;)

That's how they get ya.

See, adventurers haul stuff into town to sell it off, right? And the more stuff they can carry, the more money they can make. So the shops jack up the prices on the backpacks …

I think it may just be an xbox thing, but I never notice it with any of the other games I have. It can be pretty bad during that last fight as well as on the Darkspawn Chron - the DLC that shall not be named.

I agree with this statement. Also, the fade got very annoying.

This.  I didn't have a huge problem with the Fade, though it wasn't the most interesting section of the game.  But the Deep Roads...SO BORING.  I hope it's a lot better this time around.

I think we might still be getting those. Plus the shades of beige underwear which I was hoping had gone.

As Face of Evil said, Mage hats. No more looking as though I'm doing an impression of an ice cream.

The Fade
Characters that use the word 'fool' too often (looking at you, Morrigan)
Two minute load times
Buff effects in conversation (which I know they fixed)

I hated picking up a late or even an early companion and i really liked their appearance and their personality but their talent points that were AUTO SPENT were all wrong for your party

Wouldnt it be easier and better if the came with all the talent points, skill points, and spec points unspent?

Wouldnt this allow us to control who we would like to be able to use and not have certain party members picked for us?

I'm not sure regarding companions, but I know Hawke can be respecced because Mike confirmed it a while back. So, if Hawke can be respecced, then it stands to reason that the companions can as well.

THIS

Having to wait like 2 minutes for loot to show up/quests to update = not fun.

Also, the increbily long startup time (longest in any game I've played probably) and loading times.

The best one handed axes in DA:O were handily beaten by the least long swords, and while battleaxes always looked cooler, my two-handed warriors (Sten, Oghren, sometimes my warden) would always have to default on a two handed sword for practicality's sake. If you want to sacrifice speed for sheer power, an axe should be your choice.

Agreed, so many times I've wanted to use an axe, but it's never been a viable choice.
