I hated picking up a late or even an early companion and i really liked their appearance and their personality but their talent points that were AUTO SPENT were all wrong for your party

Wouldnt it be easier and better if the came with all the talent points, skill points, and spec points unspent?

Wouldnt this allow us to control who we would like to be able to use and not have certain party members picked for us?

Agree completely. Having to wait until I was 1/3~ through the game before getting Zevran then having him join at level 12 with a bunch of points dumped in strength....

Or even Morrigan who joins relatively early but already has talents wasted in Shapeshifting... I know shapeshifting is part of her backstory and it would not even bother me that they force that specialization on you, but after 5 minutes of novelty I never turned into a spider again.

.

I do believe the skill trees are fixed...so you won't have to worry about making choices as you won't have any to make.I also hope you like their appearance on meeting them as they won't be changing clothes or armorPosted Image

Haven't read this whole thread but I hope DA2 doesn't have DAO's huge memory leak.

That is not much different than in DA:O... There were like 3 robe models in the whole game.

Morrigan had only 1 real upgrade and it looked just like her default robe.

Dog barely changes... that rust colored paint really stands out on his dirty brown fur!

Shale put in different colored light bulbs, but stayed pretty much the same.

Other than switching from leather --> chain --> plate, other armors did not vary much either.

Outside of the mods, the characters do not really change that much, that is fine with me. As long as their weapons change appearance.

Shuffle combat, painfully slow attack animations, the rogues and warriors getting a swift kick in the butt to spruce them up(something they are applying) weapons and armors all looking the same with a new coat of paint, no hoods for rogues, all the brown, the silent PC, every one looking almost identicle(gets a little annoying when you see 50 guy's with the same haircut as you, though that is probably still the case) the fade being boring, auto-attack for consoles, Oghren.

1. No glitches would be nice. I only encountered one but it was a very big one that had a big impact on my game. (In that playthrough I can't do any side quests that involve Denerim because of the glitch).

2. Having to choose between letting the love of my life die or sleep with another woman. (Ugh did he have to enjoy it?!)

3. Tedious Deep Roads. I'd be happy if I never saw another Deep Road. The Fade was bordering on tedious, but the Deep Roads was by far my least enjoyable part of the game.

No ninja romances.

Gawd I'm tired of breaking up with people I've never been involved with!!!

This is also a good point! ;) Few days ago I finished Witch Hunt and I was sooo surprized when Morrigan kissed my Warden :owhile they were never involved and he was with Leli, well, maybe Morri was "interested" in him, still, it was pretty weird ;)

I told Leliana that I only whant to be friends and that I'm in love with someone else and still I have have to break up with her later. You have a 4-some with a girl and she thinks you'r her boyfriend.<_<

I think maybe having a fixed and voiced character will take care of that, but it was really annoying when there was almost NO reaction to your character's personal backstory.
"What you were almost married and then nearly raped?!!?  Oh, that's odd...and we shall never speak of this again."
"Huh?  How's that?  Your whole family was just slaughtered- well I miss Duncan bah, blah blah..."

Also this^  Leliana is the frickin Liara of Dragon Age- it is impossible to be nice to her and remain simply friends until you have her dialogue memorized and know at which point you must simply STOP talking to her.

Anora.

Really, the voice actor made me turn the sound off for the time she was talking. Absolutely killed the attack of Denerim scene (too).

You'll have to start 3 conversations, open a chest and swallow two potions before you'll manage to target it to kill it.

It's why I got Alistar to do it instead XD His VA was almost perfect for that scene  (plus he's just generally awesome XD)

Back on topic. I hope they sorted out that werid bug with the archery that Dragon Age Origins had when it wasn't calculated properly and PC users has to use a MOD to fix it. it's a minor thing but because of it I went mage XD

Man, that happened to me with my gay warden that had been with Zevran. It was really surprising. I guess I had unintentionally gone for 'romance' when what I wanted was 'Morrigan, let me have my freaking kid'

Wierd skills, really. Like a character roaring, and people getting stunned by his roar. it made no sense at all, since there was no magic involved. Same goes for a character stomping the ground, and making people fall over. Hmm and repetetive and tedious re-playability, in certain areas (deep rodes and the fade).

the combat needs to be completely revamped. i know they are talking about it being an action rpg for the console, but i get the feeling it is going to have the same combat only fancier for lack of a proper term. it should, in my opinion, have a combat system like the one is the kingdom hearts series.

I think character customization is a pretty big thing, and for some reason, Bioware has yet to actually create a recent & decent customzation.

I think it's somewhat pathetic (No offense Bioware! I love all your games, and this is honestly my *only* complaint) that Modders are apparantly vastly more skilled when it comes to designing hair. I could just about understand your reasoning for poor choices in Mass Effect, what with being a soldier and everything. But there really wasn't much of a reason for Dragon Age.

So I want the lack of choices (where it matters. Yes, it's great that I can create 50 different types of a nose, but I only get like.. 6 hair styles? :/) gone and vastly improved on.

Every fricking non important character was waring the same outfits or had the same faces. Little things like that arent all that important but it drove me insane in DAO. Almost every citizen of Ferelden had a twin within 2 ft, of each other. I hope this minor irritance was addressed.

Totally agree.  My rig doesn't support most of the current top tier games, and buying another computer just for gaming was totally out of the question ,so I switched to console starting w/ Dragon Age (also since the PS3 was billed as being software interchangable with a little work on my part- and now it takes A LOT of work... stupid Sony...) and I had no idea how much I was going to miss the ability to mod.  Getting stuck with a few hair choices was trivial compared to the afore mentioned romance problems, NPC/ personal backstory problems, the obvious shuffle combat issues, and the effects during cutscenes stuff, but the lack of choice did slightly negatively effect gameplay for me.  I mean- I spend at least 40 hours with one character, start to finish, I should at least like looking at him/ her.
